Accident Reconstruction Car Crashes Into Home on Buckhorn

A car drove into a home on Buckhorn Drive and witnesses say a man was led from the scene in handcuffs. However, Lexington Police say that the driver of the vehicle is still on the run.

It  was a rude awakening for the four people who were inside at the time. One of them was taken to the hospital to be checked out but that person is expected to be okay. One of the men inside the house says he was sitting on the end of a bed when he heard tires screeching and then heard the crash of that car coming through one of the bedrooms. He told LEX 18’s Kristen Pflum that the impact pushed him into a door frame.

A three-year-old child in the house was unharmed.

No one inside the house saw the driver run and at this hour he still hasn’t been found. The identity of the man seen in handcuffs is unclear.  Police do confirm that the vehicle that crashed into the home was stolen from Brook Farm Court on October 1.

The fire department is going to wait to pull the car out of the home until they can put support in. As for when the family can go back in, firefighters say that’s up to code enforcement.

Neighbors say this is the fourth time the house has been hit by a vehicle.
