An investigation is underway after a skull was found on a Bourbon County farm on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Bourbon County Coroner, the skull was discovered in a creek bed on Threave Farm/Stud. The discovery was made by farm hands who were working on the land.
Cadaver dogs were brought to the farm, but did not find any other remains nearby.

The coroner tells LEX 18 that there doesn’t appear to be trauma to the skull. The skull was sent to the state medical examiner in Frankfort.The coroner wasn’t certain of age or the sex of the remains.
A person answering the phones at Threave Farm would not comment on the situation.
