The Jessamine County Sheriff’s office is warning residents of a telephone scam.
Multiple residents in Jessamine County have received phone calls from a person saying they are a Jessamine County Sheriff Deputy. The impersonator will tell them they failed to show up for jury duty and have an outstanding warrant. They are then instructed to go get a money voucher and call the impersonator back with the voucher number to take care of the warrant.

Another version of this same scam told a resident they had a warrant and needed $3,000 and send the impersonator the money voucher numbers. We started receiving call reference this Friday April 22nd and had several calls Monday April 25. Anyone that receives these type calls are asked to call the Jessamine County Sheriffs Office at
