Lexington Fire officials confirm that a fire that happened on Monday could be connected to several other burglaries and arson cases in the area.
The home on Briar Hill Road was a loss after fire ripped through the structure. A firefighter fell down some steps while battling the flames but he was uninjured.
Several fires in Jessamine, Garrard and Scott Counties are also being investigated. In one case in Garrard County, KSP released a vehicle description of a car spotted near the scene.

KSP Troopers say to be on the lookout for a grey/silver Chevy Cobalt connected to the person of interest.
Kentucky State Police are asking if anyone has seen anything suspicious that could be related to the fires, or if they have noticed the Cobalt in the area, to contact KSP Post 7 at 
859-623-2404 or the Arson Task Force at 1-800-27ARSON (1-800-272-7766 FREE). The Arson Task Force is offering up to a $1000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for starting any of the fires.
