Fraud Investigation 4 Arrested in Westport, CT for Credit Card Fraud

Four people have been arrested after Westport Police received a report of fraudulent credit card use.

On Friday evening, Westport police say they received a report from the Castle Wine & Spirits that four individuals were buying merchandise with what were believed to be fraudulent credit cards. The individuals fled the store in a red Mazda with Maryland plates when store personnel confronted them.

Police broadcast out the car information and the car was spotted on Post Road East near the Sherwood Island Connector soon after. Police pulled the car over, and found four individuals in possession of several fraudulent credit cards, as well as several bottles of liquor. Police say all four were positively identified as the suspects who were at the Castle Wine & Spirits store earlier.
