Lexington Police say they arrested a woman for defrauding her former employer of more than $100,000.
Investigators say that Tressa Tresten, 44, was arrested on Monday and charged with Theft by Deception over $10,000 and Unlawful Access to a Computer.
Tresten was a longtime employee of Check Exchange on North Broadway in Lexington. During an investigation, police discovered that Tresten printed checks to herself from a vendor payment account and then altered the records in Quick Books to conceal the theft.

Detectives say that over four years, Tresten issued 110 checks to herself totaling $108,765.
The money stolen was used for Tresten’s personal living expenses, according to the police.
She has been lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
