Fraud Investigation Woman Arrested For Defrauding Former Employer

Lexington Police say they arrested a woman for defrauding her former employer of more than $100,000.

Investigators say that Tressa Tresten, 44, was arrested on Monday and charged with Theft by Deception over $10,000 and Unlawful Access to a Computer.

Tresten was a longtime employee of Check Exchange on North Broadway in Lexington. During an investigation, police discovered that Tresten printed checks to herself from a vendor payment account and then altered the records in Quick Books to conceal the theft.
