A man arrested in West Virginia on June 14 is facing sexual offense charges against a minor in New Hanover County.
William Lee Bayliss, 32, was arrested by the St. Albans Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service without incident at a relative’s home.
Bayliss has been charged with first degree sexual exploitation of a minor and second degree sexual offense, according to the New Hanover County detention center site. He was booked under a $251,500 bond.

According to the SAPD, the charges stem from an incident in Carolina Beach that occurred on July 1, 2007, and the victim was a 17-year-old female.
The SAPD also said that Bayliss has been on the run since a warrant was issued in November 2013.
