Drug Dog Sweep Three From Utah Arrested After Traffic Stop

A Utah driver and two of her passengers have been jailed on drug charges after a Nebraska State Patrol trooper stopped their vehicle for speeding.

According to NSP, the trooper pulled the SUV over near the Beaver Crossing exit on Interstate 80 Thursday afternoon.

A drug dog was brought to the scene to help in the search of the vehicle. The trooper seized 22.7 pounds of cocaine and nearly eight pounds of methamphetamine in an altered compartment at the rear of the vehicle.

30-year-old Yasmin Moya of Ogden, Utah has been charged with possession with intent to sell. Two passengers, 55-year-old Manuel Lopez and 40-year-old Marcos Anzaldo Elenes, both from Ogden, face similar charges. All have been placed in jail in Seward County.

Two girls in the vehicle have been placed in placed in protective custody with the Department of Health and Human Services.
