Cold Case KSP Hopes New Technology Will Help ID Man

KSP hopes new technology helps to identify a man who was found dead in a Grant County barn more than 25 years ago.

The barn off Highway 22 about seven miles west of Dry Ridge was the scene of a gruesome discovery in April of 1989.

The owner of the property, Henry Curry, says that somebody was placed in the barn after they had been killed or died.

Grant County News reports that KSP used new technology to come up with a sketch of what they believe the 6’5’’ 200 pound man may have looked like.

“He was found in the corner to the right. He was covered up,” said Curry. “The body, as I understood it, was hidden by tobacco sticks.”

Curry bought the property the barn is located on in the early 90s. He says the victim had his fingers removed so investigators would not be able to identify him.

Curry says that back in 1989, the area was very secluded and not many people would know about or drive by the barn.

“I think someone from the area might have known there was a barn here. I would suspect someone from neighboring areas might have been involved,” said Curry.

Curry says he hopes investigators get to the bottom of the case, no matter how long it takes.

“Hopefully, even if it takes another 20 years, they’ll be caught and punished,” said Curry.
