Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in Bell County Saturday morning.
It happened on Dorton Branch Road in the Pineville community just before 3 a.m.
Police say a woman shot her husband following an altercation.
Kentucky State Police have identified the shooter as Melissa Sanchez, 39, of Fourmile. According to KSP, Sanchez admitting to shooting 37-year-old Houston Lankford.

Troopers say the victim was deceased when they arrived at the scene.
Sanchez is being held at the Bell County Detention Center on murder charges.
Lankford’s body was transported to Frankfort for an autopsy.
The case is under investigation.
