Pedophile Tracking Shreveport Man Gets 25 Years

A Shreveport man pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated rape on Thursday – he will spend 25 years in prison, according to information received from the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s office.

Micah Russell Koch, 20, admitted that he had unlawful sexual contact with a 7-year-old child on Sept. 17, 2014. The victim’s father reported the crime after coming home to find the child crying. The father found evidence that Koch had engaged in sexual acts with the child. Koch was 19 at the time of the incident.

Under the terms of his guilty plea, Koch will serve 25 years in prison at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. He also must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Britney A. Green. Koch was defended by Michelle Andrepont.
