Identity Theft Two York County, PA Men Arrested

Two New York men have been jailed on allegations they gave fake photo IDs to officers who stopped them on Interstate 83.

Southern Regional police said they had a report of people using fraudulent credit cards to buy gift cards at the Rutter’s Farm Store in Shrewsbury when they pulled over the pair on Sunday.

Multiple credit cards were found on them and in their vehicle, police said.

Police said Felipe A. Avila and Felipe R. Avila, both of Brooklyn, were identified by their fingerprints. They face multiple charges including identity theft and false identification to law enforcement.

The investigation continues into the use of the fraudulent credit cards.
