Wrongful Death Man Accused of Shooting Scott Co. Teen Pleaded Not Guilty

The man accused of shooting and killing a 15-year-old girl who was at a friend’s house pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday morning.

Michael Davidson is accused of shooting at a trailer in a mobile home park. Inside that home, 15-year-old Morgan Penn was at a sleepover. She was killed.

Neighbors say they heard at least 10 shots fired at the Parker’s Mobile Home Park.

Investigators say Davidson was identified by witnesses as the gunman. Police say he fled the scene and was pulled over on Frankfort Pike shortly after.  In his car, police say they found evidence linking him to the scene.

Davidson has been charged with a parole violation and murder. He will be arraigned on those charges Tuesday afternoon.

Penn will be laid to rest Thursday at Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home. Services will begin at 10 a.m.

The family set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses. They say you can also donate at United Bank in Georgetown.

Davidson will be back in court September 8th, 1 p.m.
