A man was arrested for prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer for sex.
An investigation began after the KSP Electronic Crime Branch observed 50-year-old Dean B. Nixon using an online chat system to communicate with someone he believes to be a 14-year-old girl.

He traveled from Indiana to Kentucky with plans to engage in illicit sexual contact with the girl, according to KSP.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant for his vehicle and hotel room.
Nixon is currently charged with one count of prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer re: sex offenses.
He was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
