One person is dead after a shooting in Jackson County.
According to Kentucky State Police, the shooting occurred around 10 p.m. at D & M Road in Sand Gap. 45-year-old Michael Martin was shot after he and another man got into an argument in the driveway of a home.

Police are interviewing witnesses but have currently not charged anyone in the case. A car believed to have been driven by the shooter was located near the scene.
An autopsy for Martin will be conducted at that State Medical Examiner’s Office.
