A Madison County man is accused of a sex crime involving a girl, the New York State Police said Wednesday night.
Keith O. WoodworthKeith O. Woodworth, 29, of Chittenango, was charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony.

State police said Woodworth had “sexual conduct” with a girl younger than 13 years old that he met on a social media website. Authorities did not elaborate about the charge against Woodworth or provide details of their investigation.
Troopers in Central New York became aware of the incident after being contacted by the Macedon Town Police Department in Wayne County and by state police investigators in that area.
Woodworth was arraigned in Sullivan Town Court and ordered held at the Madison County jail with no bail. He is due back in court on Tuesday.
