Accident Reconstruction Victims Identified in Deadly McCreary County Crash

A deadly crash in McCreary County shut down two roads overnight.

Kentucky State police have now identified the victims killed as 36-year-old Glenn E. Hamilton of Whitley City and 63-year-old Norma W. Ross of Whitley City.

Officials say the collision happened just after midnight at the intersection of US 27 and Ky 927.

KSP says a traffic reconstruction team determined that Hamilton was driving a Ford Focus northbound when he crossed the center line and hit a Ford Taurus which was driven by Ross.

Reportedly a Dodge Intrepid driven by Brandon T. Lannum slammed into the Ford Taurus after the initial collision.

A passenger in that car, Bronical S. Howard was flown to UK Hospital in critical condition. Lannum was not hurt.

Both roads were shut down for about four hours while crews worked to clear the scene but have since reopened.

We’re told the crash is under investigation.
