The jury recommended a 10-year sentence. However, formal sentencing will be July 21st.
Police were originally called to the apartments at 12:18 a.m. on Jan. 3 after a security guard reported there was an intoxicated person on the premises. When officers arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Last November, Roark was released from jail on bond.
