Information from a Fitbit could help solve a murder.
Richard Dabate has pleaded not guilty to his wife’s murder in 2015.
But authorities say that information collected from her fitness tracker contradict Dabate’s account of the murder.
Dabate told investigators that a masked intruder shot and killed his wife, and tied him up.

The Fitbit however, showed that 39-year-old Connie Dabate was moving around an hour after her husband claimed the intruder killed her.
Investigators say other digital clues also dispute Dabate’s timeline.
Dabate, who was charged in April with murder and evidence tampering, is free on $1 million bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for June 16.
It’s unclear how much of the technological evidence will be used during the trial.
