Wrongful Death Sarah Hart

Kentucky State Police said Friday that the man arrested in the murder of a Russell County woman Thursday admitted that he committed the crime during questioning.

Christopher W. Allman, 28, of Jamestown is charged with murder in the death of 31-year-old Sarah B. Hart. Hart’s body was discovered at about 12:15 p.m. about 30 yards off of US 127, where she had been running with her sister earlier that morning. Hart told her sister she wasn’t able to finish their run, so her sister continued, got in a car and went back for her sister, whom she couldn’t find.

According to an arrest citation from State Police, Hart was apparently strangled to death. While being interviewed, police say Allman admitted to attacking and killing Hart for the purpose of taking her money. The citation also says that Allman admitted to placing Hart’s body underneath bushes.

Allman is charged with murder, robbery, kidnapping and tampering with evidence.
