LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles police are searching for a University of California Los Angeles honors student who has been missing for more than four days.
Officials say 22-year-old David John Goeser’s 2001 white Toyota Corolla was found late Wednesday in the Pacific Palisades, where authorities are searching for clues in thick vegetation Thursday. Officers on horseback and aided by hound dogs are combing mountain trails for signs of him.

Goeser was last seen by his roommates at his home and family members had not heard from him in over a week when they went to the home to look for him.
Police say they discovered the English major’s cellphone, identification and credit cards at the home.
Family members tell police that he is under a doctor’s care and needs regular medication.
