A Pensacola police patrol officer was arrested this morning for allegedly committing insurance fraud.

Jamon Johnson, 35, who has been with the department since March 2000, was released from the Escambia County Jail after posting $1,000 bond. The charge stemmed from an investigation by the state Department of Financial Services, authorities said.
