Drug Dog Sweep Sandusky County, OH Dog Sniffs Stolen Meat

Turns out, the meat was stolen so the drug hound came out on top anyway.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped the car at about midnight in the 1700 block of W. State St. after it ran a red light. When troopers walked up they smelled burnt marijuana and called in Sandusky County Sheriff’s police dog “Brutus,” a Sandusky County deputy’s report said.

On arrival Brutus circled the car and indicated there were drugs near the rear passenger door handle. Deputies pulled the dog away, but he went right back to the same spot.

Troopers asked two passengers to exit the vehicle.

“Upon the search of the vehicle, we located numerous packages of various meats from Kroger,” the deputy’s report said. “With further investigation, it was discovered that the occupants of the vehicle had stolen the meats from Kroger.”

Troopers took the three occupants, including the driver, Charles Starks, to the Fremont Police Department, where they were charged with theft.

Pedophile Tracking Man Picks up KY Teen and Transport to Indiana

LOUISVILLE, KY—A New Albany, Indiana man who used the Internet to induce a minor female to engage in sexual activity and transported her across state lines for illegal sexual purposes was sentenced today in U.S. District Court by U.S. District Judge John G. Heyburn, II, to 10 years in prison, followed by a life term of supervised release, announced David J. Hale, United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky. The defendant, Robert L. Real, III, pleaded guilty to the charges on November 1, 2012. There is no parole in the federal system.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

“The significant sentence handed down today should send a message to anyone with similar criminal intentions. If you seek to victimize a child, you will face a determined and coordinated law enforcement effort dedicated to the protection of our children,” stated U.S. Attorney David J. Hale. “We are grateful for the good work of the Louisville Metro Police Department, the Louisville Division of the FBI, and the Kentucky Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. My office will continue to work closely with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to bring those who would prey upon and victimize children to justice.”

Real, age 21, admitted that he had communicated with a 14-year-old female on Badoo.com, picked her up from her home in Jefferson County, Kentucky, and transported her across state lines to his residence in Indiana. He further admitted that at his residence in Indiana, he engaged in sexual activity with the minor, including intercourse. The next day, he left the girl at a bowling alley in Jefferson County, Kentucky. The two began their online communications in early May 2012.

The 14-year-old had been reported missing to the Louisville Metro Police Department by her parents on June 8, 2012. The minor’s parents learned that she had been communicating with an adult, “Robert,” who lived in Indiana, on a social networking website called Badoo.com. The FBI Cyber Crimes Task Force was notified of the incident and initiated an investigation. More than 2,500 messages between “Robert” and the minor were recovered by law enforcement officials on the family’s computer and minor’s laptop.

Assistant United States Attorney Jo E. Lawless prosecuted the case. The Louisville Metro Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation as part of Kentucky’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted the investigation.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children and to identify and rescue victims. Private Investigator Berea Police Looking for Burglar Who Stole Cash from Safe

Police in Madison County are looking for a man who burglarized the Subway on Brenwood Drive in Berea.
Now, Berea Police are asking for your help in solving the crime.

The burglar has been given a nickname by some, the ‘Ninja Bandit’.

“I can tell you he looked like a ninja. He was wearing a mask and he knew what he was doing,” explained Jonathan Linville, a Subway employee.

Police said a man broke into Subway around 1:00AM on Monday morning and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Security cameras caught him in the act but the missing money wasn’t discovered until Jonathan Linville got to work.

http://liarcatchers.com/index.php

“The first thing I saw there were a bunch of cords hanging down from the ceiling on the prep table and I thought oh our maintenance guy has been here working on something. Then, I saw that the ceiling tiles were all out of place,” stated Linville.

It was then Linville realized what had happened.

“There’s usually all of these papers that are usually in our safe, paper work, all over the floor. I looked slightly to the left and there is this giant hole in our safe and I was like, Oh no!,” exclaimed Linville.

The surveillance video showed the burglar rummaging in his bag, pulling out a power tool, and before long sparks were flying. Subway employees were surprised by the burglar’s gutsy actions.

“He was very nonchalant, he walked straight across. It’s not like he was trying to duck and hide. We have lights on in here. Like I said he is very skilled, he was good at what he did,” explained Lori Vallandingham, a Subway employee.

Police said the man came in and left again through the back door. While other businesses in the area have cameras, none of them was able to pick up an image of the burglar leaving or a car. Police said he may have fled on foot.

If you know who the burglar may be, you’re asked to contact the Berea Police Department.
