Missing Person More Info on Missing Fleming County Teen

Still no sign of a Fleming County teen who went hunting over the weekend and hasn’t been seen since. Monday night’s search wrapped up around six pm near Route 156, south of Flemingsburg.

The row of parked cars stretched about a half mile long down a gravel road: everyone was there for 15 year old Ricky Hamilton. Volunteers young and old from seven different counties participated in the search, riding ATVs, climbing ravines, cutting their way through brush.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“I’ve done all this for you. If you’re out there, let us know something,” said Andrew Justice, a friend of Hamilton’s.

Justice believes Ricky is still out there somewhere in the hills. But like a lot of Hamilton’s family members and classmates, he’s growing weary. No one has found any evidence of what happened to the high school sophomore.

Search crews called it a night when the sun set.

“We’re going to do a lot more of the same tomorrow, going to keep hitting the bushes, expanding our search, and just hope for a little bit better luck,” says Fleming County EMA Director, Dwayne Price.

Tuesday’s plan: dogs will be brought back to try and track Hamilton’s smell. Price, says the 15 year old’s scent was picked up near a highway, but the trail went cold.

“He may be a little farther away than we’re thinking,” Price says.

Hamilton’s dad, who was the last to see his son while the two were hunting Saturday, says there’s no way Ricky ran away, that he has to be nearby.

“The father’s been out here and helped us, but again, emotional, and that’s to be expected,” Price says.

Eight Wednesday morning, teams will be back out there, heading into the hills for the third morning, hoping it will be the last time.

State police and sheriff’s deputies are also involved in the investigation. We’re told they’ve talked to all the neighbors in the area. No one reported seeing anyone suspicious around the farms.

Pedophile Tracking Sex Therapists Call for Legalization of ‘Virtual’ Child Porn

Amsterdam sex therapists Rik van Lunsen and Erik van Beek have caused controversy by calling for ‘virtual’ imaginary child porn to be legalized to relieve the sexual urges of pedophiles.

The sex therapists are advocating that pedophiles view drawings or computer-generated images of children to “regulate their desires,” reports the Daily Mail.

However, the Netherlands outlawed all sexual representation of children in 2002, even imaginary child porn, because technology made imaginary images too realistic.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Van Beek said: “I think that repressing your fantasies can lead to frustration and ultimately, for some types of pedophile, to a greater likelihood of doing something wrong.”

“If you make virtual child pornography under strict government control with a label explaining that no child was abused, you can give pedophiles a way of regulating their sexual urges.”

Van Lunsen added: “We don’t make enough of a distinction in public debate between ‘healthy’ pedophiles, people who are not pedosexually active, and delinquent pedosexuals. We’re not responsible for our thoughts or our fantasies, we’re only responsible for one thing. our actions.”

Psychotherapist Jules Mulder, of the De Waag clinic, opposes the idea of imaginary virtual child porn: “The proposal isn’t really pertinent and for some people it will certainly increase the likelihood of going through with sexual abuse.”

“It would also be very difficult to cover all tastes. Some want photos of naked children, others want children having sex while someone else wants an eight-year-old boy with dark hair and a certain look in his eyes. It’s not possible to satisfy these different desires with a bit of virtual child pornography.”

However, there is already a billion dollar industry manufacturing numerous types of imaginary child porn via Hentai cartoons, which are produced in Japan.

Identity Theft Woman Charged in Spotsylvania, VA

A 75-year-old Spotsylvania County woman was surprised when she received a bill for $830 from a women’s fashion catalog this weekend.

She reported the bill from Midnight Velvet to the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office because she never made any purchases from the company and didn’t know why she was receiving the bill, authorities say.

The items purchased included bedding, jewelry and clothing, said Capt. Mike Harvey with the Spotsylvania sheriff’s office.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

Spotsylvania Deputy John Durbin was able to work with loss prevention staff from Midnight Velvet and identified the address where the items were sent, Harvey said.

On Monday, Durbin made contact with a woman who lived at the address where the items were shipped and recovered most of the property listed on the bill that was sent to the victim, Harvey said.

The victim’s neighbor, Crystal Leigh Nestor, 39, of Spotsylvania is charged with identity theft, obtaining goods by false pretenses, distributing stolen property and grand larceny.

Private Detective Vet Looking for Julian D. Haynes

A war medal can be one of the most prized possessions of any family. That’s why one local vet says he had to do something when he saw several war medals being sold at a Clark County thrift shop.

Andrew Gill was just walking through Peddler’s Mall in Winchester looking for a table, something to sit some stuff on at his house. What he ended up finding instead though was something he couldn’t believe – several war medals in a frame with a picture of war hero Julian D. Haynes. It sat on a shelf above a gum ball machine and next to some coffee mugs.

http://liarcatchers.com/index.php

Debra Burchett runs the booth, and says her husband picked the medals up. “He actually attended a local auction in Paintsville,” she said.

Gill didn’t know the back story, and didn’t really have the $75 to spend on it. “I didn’t get it at the time,” he said. “I came back and it just ate me up a little bit.”

So, Gill eventually paid the money because he says he knew he had to. “It’s gone from the family and it’s something that should be remembered and cherished.”

And he should know. Gill himself has spent his fair share of time overseas. He earned several medals, including a purple heart for his time in Iraq. Now, he says he wants someone else who fought as hard as he did to never have his service erased.

“Well, I’d like to find the family that it belongs to,” he said. “That way, they can have it for generations to come.”

If you know someone who knows something about those medals or maybe you know something about them and you want to get in touch with Gill, send an e-mail by clicking here. Gill says the hero pictured next to the medals served in the German, Tunisian and Italian campaigns.

Missing Person Decatur, TX Woman’s Body Found, Boyfriend Charged with Murder

DECATUR — The boyfriend of a woman who vanished in early November was charged with murder after her body was found Sunday in north Decatur.

Randy and Jody McNorton were brought to their knees.

Their daughter, 28-year-old Samantha McNorton had last been seen on November 2 at the One Stop convenience store in Runaway Bay.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Her family now has a sense of closure.

“Right now, we need lots of prayers,” Jody said. “Thank God. It was all I was asking for.”

“I don’t know where to go from here; I don’t know what to do. She was everything,” said Paul Agnew, the father of McNorton’s three young children ages 2, 4 and 6.

Agnew wore pink, her favorite color.

Friends gathered in Decatur Sunday evening to pray for McNorton and her boyfriend, 29-year-old David Malone of Bowie.

“David Malone, we forgive you,” said one person in the prayer circle.

Malone was arrested Thursday night on a sexual assault charge, and held in Parker County Jail. Investigators, however, would not reveal the identity of the victim. Malone was later officially charged in the murder of McNorton.

Malone’s family was present at the Sunday evening vigil.

“It brings two families and a whole bunch of friends together where it’s a real tragedy,” Randy McNorton said.

Hugs were holding the McNorton family up. Their only daughter gone, Randy McNorton had one parting wish for the group.

“I want you guys just to hug each other and pray.”

A missing persons report on McNorton wasn’t filed until last Tuesday, November 13.

Jody McNorton said it was not uncommon for her daughter to be out of sight for a week at a time. That’s why the family delayed filing a missing persons report with Richland Hills police.

The search for Samantha McNorton began Thursday afternoon with deputies from Wise, Parker, Jack and Montague counties. There was also an aerial search.

David Malone’s criminal record extends over a decade, and includes misdemeanors and felonies.

On Sunday night, he was moved from Parker County Jail and is now in Wise County custody.

Insurance Fraud Jonesboro Couple Cheated on Liver Claims

An Illinois insurance company has accused a Jonesboro husband and wife team of carrying on a fraud for six years after the husband received a liver transplant.

The amount? $448,000.

Combined Insurance Co. of America is suing David W. and Debbie L. Thomas to recover the money.

Combined Insurance complained in U.S. District Court in Jonesboro that the couple bought a policy in 2005 that allows them to receive money if they are hospitalized or are recovering at home following a hospital stay.

http://liarcatchers.com/insurance_fraud.html

The policy came in handy a year later when David Thomas, who was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, received a transplant, according to the lawsuit.

The insurance company said he submitted valid claims, but the couple “also submitted numerous fraudulent” ones.

It said the couple submitted 18 fraudulent claims seeking benefits for 50 separate instances.

The alleged scheme included submitting doctored documentation from hospitals and medical workers.

What might have tripped up the couple was they allegedly submitted statements from Dr. Brad Moore after Sept. 21, 2007 — which was the day he died, the lawsuit said.

The alleged fraud occurred from September 2006 through July 19, 2012.

The insurance company is suing for fraud, civil conspiracy and breach of contract.

The couple hasn’t been charged with any crime in connection with the allegations. However, a source tells us that a complaint has been filed with the Arkansas Insurance Department.

The AID said it could neither confirm nor deny an investigation.

We couldn’t reach the Thomases Thursday afternoon.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Police captured Rogers in Madison County in 1995 after a nationwide manhunt. He is now on death row in Florida.

Missing Person WI Man Missing After 2 Months in Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska State Troopers are searching for a missing 31-year-old survivalist from Wisconsin who set out alone in the Alaska wilderness in late September.

Thomas Seibold of Three Lakes, Wis., is described as an experienced outdoorsman who works as an instructor at the Talking Drum Outdoor School.

Seibold had planned to stay in the northwest Alaska backcountry through October and had booked a flight home to Wisconsin on Thursday, according to the Anchorage Daily News.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“He didn’t make that flight,” said troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen.

Seibold traveled to Alaska in June, staying first at an Alaska Native fish camp in southeast Alaska before heading north, said Tamarack Song, director of the Talking Drum Outdoor School.

Song said Seibold traveled to the northwest Alaska village of Ambler in September, hiking to a cabin about 30 miles to the north, up the Ambler River. That’s where a woman and her 13-year-old son lived, Song said.

Seibold, the woman and the boy canoed down the river to the woman’s fish camp sometime in September. Seibold parted ways with the woman and her son on Sept. 27 and said he planned to head back to the cabin, according to Song, who has spoken to the woman and the troopers searching for Seibold.

Seibold’s plan was to hike out about 25 miles to Kobuk in October, and he was supposed to contact someone by Nov. 11, Ipsen said. When he failed to do that, the person reported him missing, she said.

Aerial searches of the area have turned up no sign of Seibold.

An Alaska wildlife trooper flying a Piper PA-18 Super Cub located the Ambler River cabin and landed there Tuesday but did not see any sign of Seibold, Ipsen said.

“It didn’t look like he’d been there for weeks,” she said.

High wind in the region stalled the search until later in the week, according to Ipsen. She said partially open waterways and a lack of snow have made ground searching with snowmobiles or four-wheelers impossible.

Song described Seibold as a wanderer.

In a letter to the school, Seibold indicated he was thinking about trekking farther out from the cabin to build a shelter deeper in the wilderness, Song said. It’s unclear, however, if Seibold made it back to the cabin.

Several years ago, Seibold completed a year-long wilderness guide program in the Nicolet National Forest in northern Wisconsin, Song said. He also has taken survival courses, according to Song, who said Seibold is capable of living off the land for extended periods.

“I’m confident that, if he’s not injured and has adequate calories to keep himself going, he’s going to be alright,” he said.
