Wrongful Death Body Found in Sewer in Milwaikee County

Police have released a digital image showing the facial appearance of an unidentified male homicide victim with the hope someone might help identify him.

Partial remains of the man were discovered May 30 in a city sewer in the 2100 block of N. 40th St., south of W. North Ave.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Anyone who knows someone similar in appearance to the digital enhancement of the man, or knows of a missing person not yet reported, is asked to call the Police Cold Case Hotline at (414) 935-1212.

The post-mortem enhancement was created with the assistance of the FBI to show what the victim may have looked like, police said.

Investigators from the homicide unit have attempted to identify the victim by conducting an extensive neighborhood canvass. Detectives have reviewed reports of missing persons, along with state and national databases, and checked fingerprint records.

Investigators developed a full DNA profile of the victim that was entered into a national DNA database of missing persons.

He is thought to be as a black male between the age of 18 and 80 years old, police said.

One possible identifying feature is a spinal-repair device attached to cervical vertebrae during a past

Private Detective Man Arrested in Lexington Shooting

An arrest is made in a shooting that rushed two men to the hospital and led to a standoff situation on Cambridge Drive in Lexington. Lexington Police arrested 22-year-old Darryl Brown at UK Hospital around 7:30 Friday night. The twist in the story is Brown was one of the victims. He’s now in jail, charged with assault.

“Two gentleman came past me outside the building. They went to a neighbor’s building. Not even a minute later I heard a gun shot,” says Anthony Vaughn, a witness.

http://liarcatchers.com/index.php

It was around 2:30 pm. Vaughn saw a man stumble outside the building and collapse in the grass. Police say he’d been shot in the chest area.

“I can’t believe it. It just happened a few seconds ago both of those guys walked past me, I couldn’t believe it,” said Vaughn.

Instead of running away,

“Me and two other ladies were holding him so he couldn’t run. He wanted to leave, but we wouldn’t let him leave. The ladies were holding a rag on him to stop the bleeding,” says Vaughn.

Lexington Police and EMS find another victim, a man shot in the hand. That man, who police say is 22-year-old Darryl Brown, has his own ideas about who the shooter is. As they take him to the hospital, Police say he tells them the gunman is in an apartment in 1909 Cambridge Drive, and he’s not coming out. The response is huge. The building is evacuated. Officers set up a perimeter and pull out all the stops, including the Emergency Response Unit, and robots.

“Their robot can be useful in a situation where we have to search and can’t see. It offers us eyes and ears without putting our personnel in danger,” explains Lexington Police spokesperson Sherelle Roberts.

After entering, they find no one inside the complex just after five p-m. Police say it appears Darryl Brown made up the story. Police say there’s a big possibility the shooting was drug-related.

Police say the man who was shot in the chest is in critical but stable condition at UK Hospital. They have not released his name.

Wrongful Death NY Nanny Kills 2 Kids

A New York mother who found two of her children fatally stabbed while in the care of their nanny, kept a detailed blog of her day to day joys of motherhood. She was somewhat of a celebrity among new mothers as a pediatrician writing about everyday life with the kid’s she adored. Marina Krim returned home Thursday evening with her third child expecting to find the nanny with her other two children just getting home from swimming lessons, according to Fox News, Friday, October 26, 2012. What Krim found will tragically change her life forever.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

When Krim returned home she found her two young children, Leo, 2, and Lucia, 6, dead from stab wounds in the bathtub. The nanny, 50 years-old Yoselyn Ortega, lay nearby the children with apparent self-inflicted stab wounds. Krim screamed “something happened to my kids,” as she wrapped the nanny’s bleeding neck with a towel. The doorman heard Krim’s cries and called 911. The distraught mother continued crying and screaming after coming home to this horrendous heart wrenching sight.

The nanny is in stable condition in the hospital according to reports Friday morning. It is unclear how long the nanny had been with the family and what transpired in that apartment is under investigation today.

Krim is a pediatrician, who stayed at home with her kids up until a year ago. The blog she kept on her family shared all the events, such as apple picking, vacations and even strolls down Broadway with her kids. She would mark the milestones of her kids with an entry on that blog, such as her now deceased son learning to put words together.

Marina and her husband Kevin were extremely careful when finding a nanny for their kids. Before hiring Marina, they spent nine days with the nanny and her family in the Dominican Republic. Kevin Krim, the children’s father is a CNBC executive, was notified of this tragedy as he returned home from a business trip. He was taken to the hospital where his wife was after she had to be sedated.

Shock spreads through the couple’s building and neighborhood as the people who know the Krims; all said what a nice and happy family they were. The heartbreak of this tragedy is felt by the entire community today.

Pedophile Tracking Louisville, KY Man Sentenced for Child Porn

LOUISVILLE, KY—a former truck driver living in the St. Matthews area of Jefferson County, Kentucky, was sentenced this week in U.S. District court to serve 262 months in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Charles R. Simpson, III after pleading guilty to violating federal child pornography laws announced David J. Hale, United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

According to the sentencing memorandum, John Dennis Clark, III used a Yahoo! Flicker account to upload 13,800 images of child pornography from January 2, 2007 to June 17, 2007. Flickr users who discovered the images complained to Yahoo! about the presence of child pornography associated with the “audriusmackevicius” account. Yahoo! submitted 13,800 images as a cybertip report to The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) on August 15, 2008. NCMEC referred the investigation to the FBI. The FBI traced the Internet protocol to an Insight account on Iola Road in Louisville, Kentucky. On January 7, 2009, the FBI executed a search warrant and seized Clark’s laptop computer and several items related to international travel. The Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory (RCFL) conducted a forensic examination of Clark’s laptop and discovered thousands of images of child pornography consisting of mostly prepubescent boys engaged in sexual activity. Seven days later, Clark fled the United States from Chicago to Warsaw, Poland. On or about February 27, 2009, during a check of international border crossing records, law enforcement discovered that Clark had fled the United States for Eastern Europe in a failed attempt to avoid prosecution.

While Clark’s whereabouts were unknown to federal agents, he logged onto the SEB Bank website, and requested a new ATM card. On July 9, 2009, Interpol issued an Interpol Red Notice and a provisional international arrest warrant for Clark. America’s Most Wanted also aired a special on Clark leaving after execution of the search warrant. On April 9, 2010, Budapest law enforcement learned that Clark was working as an English language teacher at the Shetland Language School in Budapest, Hungary. While employed at the school, Clark received payments in cash and convinced an employee to receive packages on his behalf. Law enforcement contacted the Shetland Language School and learned that Clark was to teach English to children at another school at 5:00 p.m. At approximately 4:50, an employee of the Shetland Language School contacted the Hungarian National Police and informed them that Clark was informed of the police visit to the Shetland School. Clark fled and on April 13, 2010, was arrested at an Internet café in Budapest, Hungary by the Hungarian National Police. Clark waived Extradition to the United States, but filed an asylum claim the day he was to return to the United States. His asylum claim was ultimately denied and he returned to Louisville on November 12, 2010. Clark pled guilty to distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography on January 31, 2012.

At sentencing, in U.S. District Court, on October 22, 2012, Clark’s prison sentence was enhanced for an established pattern of sexual abuse activity for molesting a child in 1976 and for possession of sadomasochistic photos involving pre-pubescent minors.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joshua Judd and was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims. Identity Theft NJ Chiropractor Pleaded Guilty

A former New Jersey chiropractor pleaded guilty to theft for defrauding insurance companies with fake auto insurance claims.

Craig Klein, 46, of Ridgewood, N.J., admitted that he set up an illegal chiropractic facility, Hamilton Rehabilitation Center, after he lost his license in 2006 after two convictions for the same type of schemes.

Under terms of a plea agreement, Klein will get probation instead of jail time.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

Klein paid runners – people who stage accidents to get clients – for illegal referrals. He also allowed fake personal injury claims ranging from $500 to $75,000 to be submitted to more than 30 auto insurance companies.

This latest plea marks Klein’s third conviction. In 2003, he staged a similar scam in New Jersey, and another in Massachusetts in 2008.

Missing Person Indian Baby in US $30k Award

Washington: The Philly police continued with its search to find the kidnapped 10-month-old Indian girl, as it joined hands with the Telugu community to announce an award of $30,000 to information leading to the safe return of the infant.
Saani Venna was abducted by unknown kidnappers in a Philadelphia township on Monday morning, during which her grandmother Satyavathi Venna, 61, was killed by the assailants.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

A large number of people including those from the Indian American community attended a candle-light vigil in memory of the Satyavathi. The vigil was organised by the Telugu Association of North America (TANA).

Meanwhile, the police and the FBI continued with their intensive search operation to find Saani Venna.

“This is not a typical homicide investigation,” district attorney Risa Vetri Ferman told the Philly Inquirer. “We also have the search and rescue operation,” she added.

She said investigators were being guarded with information because, “We do not want to do anything that would jeopardize the child’s safety.”

Pennsylvania State Police has issued an Amber Child Abduction Alert for Saanvi Venna who is believed to have been taken from her family’s apartment after the murder of her grandmother, Satayvathi Venna.

According to Ferman, the body of Satyavathi Venna, the paternal grandmother of Saanvi, was discovered inside the apartment. She was babysitting the child. The grandmother was visiting from India, arriving in July 2012 and was scheduled to return home January 2013.

The parents of the child, Venkata Konda Siva Venna (father) and Chenchu Latha Punuru (mother) had emigrated from India in February 2007 and have previously lived in San Antonio Texas, Troy Michigan, and Cleveland Ohio. In June this year, they moved to King of Prussia in Pennsylvania.
