Pedophile Tracking Clay County Doctor Admit to Child Porn

A child porn investigation is surrounding a Clay County doctor.

When patients arrive Kishore Internal Medicine in Manchester they’re greeted by a sign on the door that says the office is temporarily closed. It does not appear as though it will be re-opening any time soon after a doctor there admitted to producing child porn.

Doctor Kishore Jadhav was arrested in April and indicted in May. Last week, Kishore pled guilty to one count of child pornography . As part of his plea agreement, his other charges are being dropped.

According to court documents, the doctor, who lives in Laurel County, asked three different teenage girls to participate in a medical study. It’s unknown how the doctor met these young girls, but records show he allegedly touched the girls and while doing so asked them to perform a sex act on themselves. While this was going on, documents say Kishore would either take pictures or video of the girls on their phone.

Kishore’s sentencing is set for February 6.

Arson Investigatiion Orange County Woman sets Fire to Lingerie Store

A bad breakup is being blamed for an arson attempt at a Dana Point lingerie store.

Investigators say Jennifer Renee Colwell, 42, had been in a relationship with a man who had purchased gifts for her at the store during their relationship, according to KTLA-TV.

She was spotted throwing a flaming, gasoline-soaked pillow at the business early Tuesday morning, sparking flames that reached six feet before firefighters arrived, said Lt. Roland Chacon of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

http://liarcatchers.com/arson_investigation.html

A deputy spotted Colwell just before 12:30 a.m. in the 34100 block of Pacific Coast Highway, Chacon said. She stopped by the deputy, who determined that Colwell had been in a relationship that had recently ended.

Officials suspect Colwell had also accumulated trash around the businesses to feed the flames. According to arrest records, Colwell was being held in Central Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Identity Theft Woodstock Man Facing 16 Counts

WOODSTOCK — A local man is behind bars facing 16 counts of identity theft and one count of theft of services after a year-long investigation by the Woodstock Police Department and several federal agencies.

The man, Rashan Lawhorne, 37, allegedly used compromised credit cards to fraudulently purchase airline tickets and offer them to travelers at a discounted rate, according to investigators with Woodstock’s Criminal Investigation Unit.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

Lawhorne was arrested Wednesday morning at his home in the Brookshire subdivision in Woodstock.

The investigation began after a complaint made by Air Tran Airways in 2011 regarding fraudulent activities in the purchase of airline tickets from the company, Detective Manny de la Torre said.

“He was obtaining credit card numbers from a third party and using them to purchase airline tickets which he sold to legitimate passengers at a discount,” de la Torre said.

The suspect originally placed an ad for the discounted tickets on Craig’s List, and later sold tickets by word of mouth and referrals from previous customers, de la Torre said.

During the period of April through August 2011, the minimum loss to Air Tran is estimated to be at least $30,000, de la Torre said.

“He took cash, money order, PayPal payments, and then would send the customer a reservation number and that person could then print a boarding pass,” de la Torre said.

The airlines began to figure out that American Express cardholders were having claims of fraud, and saw those reservations were coming back to a specific person, the detective said.

“They would stop a person at the gate, and question them,” de la Torre said. “Air Tran was able to provide us with source document, we started looking at that, and that pointed to this suspect. We then saw other fraudulent activity, such as setting up Internet provider accounts.”

The Woodstock Police served a search warrant at the house in 2011 and seized the suspect’s computers. The computers provided evidence that corroborated Air Tran’s information, the detective said.

“He didn’t have possession of cards, a third party was providing all that info, complete records of the card holders. American Express said they did not have a breach, it could be from a bank or overseas. That information came to a dead end,” de la Torre said.

The investigation also involved the cooperation of several Federal law enforcement agencies, the Cherokee County District Attorney’s office, banks, credit card companies, as well as other airlines.

The transactions not only represented a loss to the airline, but also compromised hundreds of cardholders, some as far as South Dakota, de la Torre said.

The detective said more charges are pending.

Lawhorne was being held at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center on $110,000 bond.

Accident Reconstruction Depute Resigns After DUI Crash

WALTON COUNTY, Ga. — By all accounts, 27-year-old Robert Christopher Matt had an exemplary record during his 4 years with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.

But he’s now out of a job thanks to allegedly running from a DUI wreck involving his patrol car and a girlfriend.

“It’s just not him, as far as I know; I mean, you know, he was such a good boy,” next door neighbor Virlyn Herren told 11Alive News.

http://liarcatchers.com/accident_reconstruction.html

Herren said Matt was a Marine Corps veteran and a good neighbor.

“I’ve never seen him drink a bit, so this is a surprise to me,” Herren added.

Chris Matt was driving a sheriff department cruiser when he apparently lost control of it on Highway 81 near Bethlehem, GA just after 1 am Wednesday.

It ran off the road, hit an embankment and flipped several times.
But when investigators and rescue crews got to the wreck, Matt had vanished.

“When first responders arrived on the scene, they found no one with the vehicle and a search was underway to try and locate the driver,” said Gordy Wright of the Georgia State Patrol, who is handling the investigation.

Responders did find 27-year-old Katie Lynn of Lawrenceville wandering along the road near the scene.

The GSP said she had been a passenger in the patrol car and the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department identified her as Deputy Matt’s girlfriend.

The GSP said Lynn was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers soon located the deputy at his home about 5 miles away.

They charged him with DUI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Maintain Lane and having an Open Alcohol Container in a Vehicle.

He posted out of the Walton County Jail on bond later Wednesday morning.

Gwinnett County Chief Deputy Mike Boyd told 11Alive that Matt was allowed to take his patrol car home, but was not authorized to drive it off duty.

Sheriff Butch Conway issued a written statement saying Matt had resigned.

Conway said he was “highly disappointed in the actions of Deputy Matt, who until this incident, had a good work record with several commendations that included…saving an inmate’s life who attempted suicide.”

Wrongful Death Body Found in Back of Pickup Truck in Tracy, CA

TRACY — A California Highway Patrol officer who pulled over a pickup truck for a traffic violation Wednesday instead stumbled upon a dead body lying inside a sleeping bag in the bed of the truck, a San Joaquin County Sheriff’s deputy said.

The discovery around 1 p.m. occurred after the CHP officer pulled over the truck in the area of eastbound Highway 132 and S. Welty Road, Deputy Les Garcia said. Details of how the body was discovered were not released.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

A driver and passenger in the truck were detained but no arrests were made.

Investigators said an initial examination of the body, a male whose age wasn’t released, showed now visible signs of trauma. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending, and it likely will take six to eight weeks for their results to be known.

Wrongful Death Inmate Pleads Guilty to Killing Prison Guard

A Utah inmate known for the neo-Nazi tattoos that cover his face and body pleaded guilty Wednesday to murdering a prison guard in 2007.

Under a plea deal with prosecutors to avoid a possible death penalty, Curtis Michael Allgier, 33, agreed to a life sentence without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to aggravated murder and other charges.

Authorities said Allgier killed Stephen Anderson, a prison guard who was shot with his own gun while escorting Allgier to a doctor’s appointment on June 26, 2007.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Prosecutors approached defense attorneys with the plea deal about three weeks ago, after Anderson’s family members said they didn’t want the case to drag on any longer and that they would be satisfied if Allgier spent the rest of his life in prison, Salt Lake County District Attorney Robert Stott said.

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 5.

Anderson, 60, of Bluffdale was a 22-year employee of the Utah Department of Corrections. He is survived by a wife, five adult children and 18 grandchildren.

Anderson’s family members were in court Wednesday.

“We recognize that it’s very merciful and forgiving of them.” Richard Gale, Allgier’s attorney, said of their decision. “Some of the lesser charges, he had issues with, but ultimately he decided if they’re not seeking the death penalty, he would agree.”

Allgier also pleaded guilty in 3rd District Court to felony counts of disarming a peace officer, aggravated escape, aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm by a restricted person. He pleaded no contest to three counts of first-degree felony attempted aggravated murder.

While he was an inmate at the Utah State Prison on firearms violations, Allgier fled the University of Utah medical facility on foot after the shooting. Authorities said he stole a vehicle and led police on a high-speed chase. When the vehicle was disabled, he ran into a restaurant, where a patron disarmed him.

Prison officials have said Allgier was a member of a white supremacist group called the Aryan Empire Warriors. His face and body are heavily tattooed, and he has the words “skin head” over his eyes.

Twice paroled, he had a lengthy criminal history in state courts, with convictions dating to 2000 for forgery, burglary and theft, according to records.

The attempted escape wasn’t the first for Allgier. He quietly walked away from a work detail in 2001, and five years later, he ditched an ankle monitor while on parole and holed up in a motel. Police found him after he crashed through ceiling tiles from an attic hiding place.

The murder case dragged on for several years while attorneys argued over mental evaluations for Allgier, who repeatedly sought to represent himself.

Stott said he was satisfied with the plea deal, given that Allgier acknowledged what he did and there will be no appeals going forward.

“A sentence where a person has to spend every day of the rest of his life in a small cell is a pretty harsh sentence, and that’s what’s going to happen to him,” he said. “He’ll be there forever.

Missing Person Man Missing After Accident in Valencia County, NM

BELEN, N.M. (KRQE) – A weekend car crash in Valencia County has turned into a missing person’s investigation.

Deputies responded to a single-car collision on Highway 47 near Belen, but the driver was nowhere to be found.

Brandon Young, 29, was seen driving the white Dodge pickup truck before the crash Sunday night. His family and friends said they haven’t heard from him since.

Young’s girlfriend, Jessica Martinez, said he was angry when he left his Los Lunas hotel and that he had been drinking.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Investigators believe Young crossed oncoming traffic, crashed into a power pole, then through a barbed wire fence.

Power was knocked out for hours, according to neighbors in the area. Deputies said Young was gone, leaving only a few footprints leading to the highway.

“He thinks he’s scared maybe he’s in trouble. He’s not in trouble at all,” said Martinez.

Martinez said it’s very unlikely for Young to fall off the grid for two days. Young, who is from Maine, has been in New Mexico for 10 months, working as a traveling wind turbine technician.

“We don’t know where he’s at. hurt, or if he’s laying in a ditch somewhere,” said Martinez. “We don’t know anything. We just want him found.”

Friends have filed a missing person’s report and have posted flyers around Valencia County, hoping someone has seen him.
