Latest Jerry Sandusky article

TARZANA – An undercover private investigator has uncovered what he calls evidence that is not going to help the case of Jerry Sandusky, the former coach of the Nittany Lions of Penn State.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

The investigator who would not reveal his name for reasons of professional privacy and career secrecy did allow for his California Private Investigator’s Federation membership number to be made public.

[EDITOR’S NOTE: The membership number is CPIF-7978003, which I was able to trace as belonging to a Mr. Fitzwilliam F. Viviovich of El Segundo, California.]

Mr. Viviovich handed over some video to Fajita San Guacamole of Hollywood Innuendo. The video was allegedly shot back on March 17, 2011, while Mr. Sandusky was visiting Tarzana and checking out a soccer-style field goal kicker that Penn State was thinking about recruiting.

In the 43-minute video, Sandusky can be shown in the Tarzan & Jane Petting Zoo with what appears to be about a 20-pound bag of petting zoo food.

We first see the ex-Penn State coach petting an African wildebeest who becomes very aroused at the fact that Sandusky is actually throwing the petting zoo food at the animals belly button.

A short time later we see the infamous coach bending down to pet a Brazilian marmoset who takes the petting zoo food from his belt buckle where he has managed to balance it.

We later see the gray-haired old codger petting a Madagascar boa constrictor with an up and down movement that gains in speed growing into a feverish pitch where the snake finally lets out some kind of muffled moan and slithers off into a nearby rock cave.

Another animal that is shown receiving petting zoo food is a Rain Forest yellow banded poison dart frog. The frog actually jumps up on the coach’s lap where it sits for a good seven minutes as Sandusky very carefully hand-feeds it.

Towards the end of the video we see the old coot standing next to a Peruvian penguin. And as the video is running we see the coach take a handy pale of ice water and pour it over the penguin.

The penguin can be seen enjoying the hell out of that but not as much as Jerry Sandusky who is rubbing the penguin’s fins as the video clearly captures the former coach’s tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth.

At that point a zoo official and a zoo security guard walk up to the ex-Penn State coach and confiscate what is left of his bag of petting zoo food and escort him out of the petting zoo area and completely off the zoo property.

SIDENOTE: Apparently Coach Sandusky has not seen the video but he did make a comment saying that the whole video was positively photoshopped because he does not remember ever seeing a Madagascar boa constrictor much less petting it.

easy targets for identity theft

Locking your car doors might seem like overly simplistic advice. But you’d be surprised at how many people lose laptops, wallets and all kinds of stuff because they leave their car doors unlocked.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

Ditto for the world of cyber crime.

Do you share passwords with someone? Respond to every legitimate-looking e-mail? Take a picture of your child at home and then post it online where anyone can see it — and maybe connect a home address to your child? Do you give anyone who asks your Social Security number?

The Federal Trade Commission received 250,854 complaints in 2010 regarding ID theft — making it the No. 1 complaint.

Online scam artists can be based in Canada or overseas and are able to easily trick consumers into giving personal information.

Identity thieves want to use information that’s easily available — and what’s easier than targeting someone in a rush, someone who needs cash quickly or even an unsuspecting child?

“In general, people really need to keep their address, phone numbers and other information more private than they do,” said Susan Grant, director of consumer protection for the Consumer Federation of America in Washington, D.C.

And the same is true for information regarding children. The FTC reported that victims age 19 and younger accounted for 8 percent of the identity-theft complaints it received in 2010.

And as much as we’ve all heard warnings about phishing scams, we’re all still seeing plenty floating around the inbox. The bait created for some e-mails makes you concerned about your bank account, tax refund or something else of value.

“You’ve got $68 coming your way,” says one scam that claims to be an e-mail from the IRS.

You do not have a $68 tax refund, of course, but you could be tempted to click. And that’s true especially if you start hearing about “unclaimed tax refunds.”

But the IRS is not sending e-mails to people who are owed refund money. You could end up giving away valuable identification — and get nothing but a headache if that information is used to open up new credit.

Chuck Whitlock, an ID theft author and expert, advises: Do not give in to your curiosity, and make certain to never click on any links in an e-mail that arrives out of the blue.

NYPD needs your help

A sicko sexually assaulted a Queens woman on Christmas Eve, police said.

http://liarcatchers.com/electronic_surveillance.html

The creep followed the 47-year woman off a bus in Springfield Gardens near 140th Avenue and Coombs Street about 6:40 p.m. Monday, and molested her on the sidewalk before fleeing.

Surveillance video captured the goon after the attack. Cops say he is between 18 and 24 years old, and about five foot eight to six feet tall. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored coat and pants, white sneakers, and carrying a black backpack.

$30k Reward Toddler’s Granddad ‘Begging’ for Return

PORTLAND, Maine – A day after police declared a 20-month-old girl’s disappearance a crime, her grandfather pleaded Saturday for her return, urging anyone with information to come forward.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“We’re all out here begging and pleading for the return of our baby girl, safe and sound. Call the state police,” Ronald Reynolds, grandfather of Ayla Reynolds, said outside his home.

“What did they do to my little girl? What did they do to Ayla? What did they do to a helpless defenseless child?” asked Reynolds, who wore a green ribbon, the symbol for missing children. “Every day I get up and wait and wonder. Yesterday I kept looking out the window, waiting for someone to come by and tell me something.”

Saturday marked two weeks since Ayla’s father reported her missing from his home in Waterville, 75 miles north of Portland. Justin DiPietro told police he saw her the night before when he put her to bed. He said she was missing from her bed on the morning of Dec. 17.

A massive search began, with wardens and volunteers combing through the woods and neighborhoods and searching streams. Police and FBI agents went door to door.

A $30,000 reward, the largest in state history for a missing person case, has been offered for information leading authorities to the child.

On Friday, Massachusetts state police brought special equipment to DePietro’s home, and crime scene technicians were seen taking measurements. Investigators concluded that a crime had taken place and the State Police Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation, Waterville Police Chief Joseph Massey said. State police reported no new developments Saturday.

Of the 500 tips submitted to investigators, Waterville police say 75 have been from psychics. Deputy Waterville Police Chief Charles Rumsey told the Central Maine Morning Sentinel of Waterville that each tip, no matter who it’s from, is assigned to an investigator.

Ayla was placed in her father’s care while her mother, Trista Reynolds, was in a substance abuse rehabilitation program, which she completed. Ronald Reynolds said he was proud of his daughter for seeking help.

“I know what my daughter did. She did the right thing,” Reynolds said.

During Ayla’s stay with her father, she broke her arm in what police described as an accident.

The Reynolds family said they were concerned about Ayla’s care, and they’ve also criticized DiPietro for not pleading publicly for his daughter’s safe return.

DiPietro, who has issued a statement denying he had anything to do with her disappearance, couldn’t be reached for comment Saturday.

Reynolds said the family is trying to maintain hope that Ayla is safe and will be found. He said he wakes up every morning and kisses a photo of Ayla, praying that she’s OK.

Reynolds said he sometimes spends his day looking out the window, hoping someone will drop by with new information, something positive for the family to latch onto.

“Someone took her. Somebody took her out the home. Who is what’s I’d like to know,” he said.

“I beg of these people: Bring her home safe. Bring her home safe and sound.”

How to hire a process server

Having your legal documents served is a very important part of the litigation process, and many people may not know how to hire a process server or what to ask. Hiring the wrong process server could result in costly delays and even having your case dismissed, so we’ve compiled a checklist of things to look for and avoid. It’s important to locate a trusted professional, verify their qualifications and be mindful of their fees. There are other helpful hints that we’ve included, and hopefully, this makes the process of hiring a process server a little easier.

http://liarcatchers.com/process_service.html

Here is your checklist for hiring a process server:

Locate
•Find a Trusted Process Server
Trusted networks are great because the process servers are pre-screened and you have someone to call outside of the server if there is an issue.
Verify
•Verify License or Registration and Association Members
Not all states and counties require process servers to be licensed, so it’s important to check.
•Ask if They Have an E&O Policy or Bond
Although not required in many states, some process servers are bonded and carry Errors and Omissions Insurance.
•Check Their Website
A company’s website can help establish their legitimacy, and can give you more insight into the values of the people who will serve your papers.
•Search for Internet Complaints
An internet search of the company’s name and ‘complaints’ can reveal a lot about their history and if they have any unsatisfied former clients.
•Ask About Their Experience
Find out how long they have been in business, if they have an area of expertise, and what their success rate is. But beware, a 100% success rate isn’t realistic.
•Ask for Recommendations
A trusted process server should have access to letters of recommendation and testimonials, which will give you great insight about their customer service.
Fees
•Be Mindful of Price – You Get What You Pay For
$45-$70 is standard for a no-rush serve, depending on the area. It’s fairly inexpensive when you consider what is being performed.
Helpful Hints
•Give Specific Service Instructions
Be specific about the who, what, and where of your serve and your preferred method of receiving updates. This can help make the serve go more smoothly.
•Verify the Details and Get Them in Writing
Finalize the details of the service fee, additional fees, the number of attempts, court filing, deadlines and updates, and confirm with an email.
•Find Out How They Will Update You
There are many process serving software solutions that allow access, and is an easy way to get details and affidavits.
•Don’t Send Them the Only Copy
It’s important that you have copies for your own records, so make sure you keep copies of the paperwork for yourself.

columbus ohio food stamp fraud

Administrative violations have been filed against a Columbus convenience store as part of a criminal investigation of food stamp fraud.

http://liarcatchers.com/fraud_investigation.html

Agents with the Ohio Investigative Unit have cited the Noor Market, located at 2427 West Broad Street with four counts each of the following: illegal use of food stamps, trafficking food stamps and illegal possession of food stamps.

The location was also charged with one count of drug possession, theft and receiving stolen property.

“Food stamp fraud is a crime,” said Columbus Agent-in-Charge SuAnn Cook. “The two biggest victims are the children and taxpayers. And often, if locations are willing to participate in illegal food stamp activity other prohibited acts can usually be found as well, impacting the neighborhoods.”

The Ohio Liquor Control Commission will hear the administrative case, once all criminal proceedings have been completed.

The commission can impose a penalty such as fines, suspension or revocation of a liquor permit.

Detectives with Columbus Division of Police supported the investigation.

Criminal charges are pending.

Bernardsville Middle School educator caught video taping youth in shower

A high-ranking Bernardsville Middle School educator and past Somerset County freeholder candidate is facing charges that he allegedly recorded boys showering at Immaculata High School in Somerville, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Authorities last week arrested Patrick Lott, a 54-year-old assistant middle school principal, after videos of nude teenagers were found in his Somerville home. Authorities used a Superior Court search warrant to enter his house on Dec. 13 and Dec. 16, Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano said.

According to Soriano, the videos showed teenagers showering in the Immaculata High School boys’ communal shower area. Nine of them are under 16 years old, Soriano said.

Detective sent to spy on Bakery worker who slipped on broken egg

Supermarket bosses sent a private detective to spy on one of their workers after she slipped on a broken egg in one of its stores.

Grandmother Irene Heslop fractured her spine after falling on to the concrete floor of a warehouse at Asda in Hulme where she had worked as a bakery assistant for seven years.

More than a year after the incident, the retail giant twice sent a spy to prove Irene, 65, was fit to work by filming her as she went about her daily chores.

The grandmother-of-two, from Fallowfield, Manchester, didn’t realise she had been followed until the footage was revealed during a compensation battle which saw her awarded £21,000 for her injuries and loss of earnings.

She said: “I felt sick when I saw the footage, it just left me numb. It just seems so over the top for them to follow me around and invade my privacy like that.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes. It’s left me feeling quite unsafe to know someone was following me around with a video camera and I didn’t know about it until three years later.

http://liarcatchers.com/electronic_surveillance.html

“After seven years of service, it hurt anyway that they thought I was lying, but to be so underhand as to film me going around the shops and catching the bus, then store it away on file without telling me it existed just breaks my heart.”

Irene, of Seacombe Avenue, has been unable to work since the accident in March 2007.

Irene’s medical claims were backed up by doctors at Manchester Royal Infirmary who submitted evidence to her solicitors that her activities and lifestyle had been ‘considerably curtailed’ by the accident.

She still receives regular injections and acupuncture following the injury and struggles to walk long distances.

The mum-of-three has since retired after the conclusion of the case saw her employment with the supermarket come to an end.

She continues to shop at Asda in Eastlands, but was ordered to hand back her staff discount card after the case was settled.

Natasha Ross, of Manchester-based solicitors Pannone, who handled the case for Mrs Heslop, said the supermarket had put her client through nearly five years of unnecessary legal torment.

She said: “Irene was the innocent victim of an accident at work. I find it disappointing that her employers did not settle this case immediately.”

A spokeswoman for Asda said: “The health and safety of our customers and colleagues is our biggest priority and if we fall short of our high standards, we will work to put things right.

“We always investigate claims thoroughly to make sure we fully understand the facts and can reach the right conclusion for everyone involved.

“We’re sorry for any upset caused to Irene through resolving this case, and wish her all the best for the future.”

Gateway Mall murder in Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City Police has little evidence to go on in the murder investigation of a 49-year-old man found murdered near the Gateway Mall.

http://liarcatchers.com/electronic_surveillance.html

Armando Torrez Rodriquez was found shot to death Monday morning along 100 South near 550 West. Police say they have no suspects and no physical evidence was found at the scene. Police spent a couple days just to find the victim’s name.

However, Detective Cary Whichmann says they have been able to piece together a little of what happened.

“We actually have one of the videos of a person we believe to be the victim, just seconds before he was shot,” Cary said.

Police obtained video surveillance of Rodriquez at the 7-Eleven on 1000 West and North Temple just before 7 a.m. After paying for his coffee, he exits the store and starts walking east on North Temple. Moments later he walks by the Red Iguana restaurant, still heading east.

At 7:10 p.m. the surveillance camera at a UTA bus barn gets video of someone walking east on 100 South towards 500 West. A security guard reports hearing a loud pop at 7:10 a.m. Around that time another security camera gets an image of someone believed to be the killer, also walking east. Police say the man appears to have jumped into a waiting vehicle, which took off southbound on 500 West. A car is seen making a left turn on to 200 South.

Detectives hope the video and images captured helps bring in more information.

“And they’ve been working really hard to be able to put those pieces together and we feel this is a significant lead that maybe can refresh somebody’s memory,” said Cary.

Police say there is still a $5,000 reward for the right tip in this case. They say tipsters can call them at their tips for cash hotline at 801-799-INFO or send a tip to the city police website at SLCPD.com.

CRANSTON, R.I. Smash and Grab

Evan Saltzman said Thursday he’s shocked by the second smash-and-grab theft this month at his Cranston store, Saltzman’s Watches and More.

http://liarcatchers.com/electronic_surveillance.html

He said he got the call from the alarm company at about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday.

“Smashed a brick through the window and came right in. He was in and out very quick,” said Saltzman, president of the company.

Surveillance video from Saltzman’s security system shows how quickly. The thief comes in, goes right for the good stuff and leaves. Saltzman estimates it took about 30 seconds from start to finish.

The thief got away with six watches from a Versace showcase valued at close to $30,000.

It was the second time this month the store has been hit. About three weeks ago, a thief gained entry by smashing through a different front window.

That time the thief stole about 15 Movado watches, nearly the same value as this heist.

And though it’s still under investigation, Saltzman said he believes it is same culprit.

“It was same MO. It looked like the same person. He was even wearing similar clothes with the black satchel over the same shoulder. I’m confident it was the same person that came back,” Saltzman said.

Saltzman said he’s working on upgrading his security and surveillance system and that he will install shatter-proof glass in the windows.
