Missing Person 12 Year Old Horseshoe Bay, TX Girl

Police in the Hill Country are looking for a 12-year-old girl who is currently with a parent who doesn’t have custodial rights.

Horseshoe Bay police say Margo Murdock was reported missing on Aug. 18 by her grandmother, Sandy Hayes. Hayes told police the child was last seen with her mother, Sonja Murdock on the evening of Aug. 17 leaving for Austin.

“Conflicting court documents regarding the custodial issue of the child were provided to investigators. However, they continued to travel into other jurisdictions making contact with friends, relatives, and associates of Sonja Murdock attempting to locate Margo,” said the Horseshoe Bay police in a statement.

On Aug. 25, authorities say paperwork from the Llano County District Court indicated the child’s guardian is her grandmother.

Horseshoe Bay police say they have entered Margo into the Texas Crime Information Center as a missing person but the situation does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Horseshoe Bay Police Department at 830-598-2633.

Wrongful Death Juvenile Pleads Guilty in Duncan Park Shooting

A juvenile indicted in a shooting in Duncan Park pleaded guilty  in court Wednesday.

Daymion Sanders, pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter in the 2014 shooting death of Antonio Franklin.

21-year-old Antonio Franklin Jr., better known as Tony among his friends, was shot in the head last April by a bullet that police say was meant for someone else.  Anita Franklin, Tony’s mother, says it’s a daily struggle to live with the loss of her son.

Sanders was sentenced to 7 years where he will serve 5.5 months in the Department of Juvenile Justice. After Sanders turns 18, he will be brought back to court and sentenced as an adult.

Three other suspects, Bryan Brown, Nasheim Tarieek Dixon and William Dixon, were also indicted back in November 2014.  Nashiem Dixon was involved in another incident in February where police say his friends were shooting into houses and was re-arrested for violating the conditions of his release.

So that Antonio’s death will not be in vain, Anita is dedicating her life to helping youth in Lexington, starting with the place where her own child was killed. On April 25, there will be a resource fair for parents in Duncan Park to let them know what opportunities are available for summer programs. Franklin hopes that more community involvement will lead to less youth violence.

Private Detective: Madison County Teacher Pleads Not Guilty

A Madison County teacher suspended with pay effective, pleaded not guilty to charges that she had sexual contact with the students.

Twenty- four year-old Brandi Whitaker, who is married, faces charges after being accused of having sexual contact with one of her students . She appeared in Madison County Court via closed circuit television.

“I had a lot of friends who had her as a teacher said she was a good teacher and stuff and like her,” said Nathaniel Johnson, student.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Tuesday afternoon, Berea Police and social services got an anonymous tip the biology teacher had sexual relations with one of her teenage students.

“We talked to the teacher and she’s been pretty open about what happened,” said Sgt. Jake Reed, Berea Police Department

Police say the teacher and student met twice during summer break.

The first time was at Fort Boonesborough State Park in June and a month, later they met again, at Mrs. Whitaker’s house in July.

Whitaker is charged with rape, sexual abuse and sodomy.

A mother who has a teenage son at Madison Southern says this isn’t the first time something like this has happened at the school,” this is the third time in less than ten years, the third teacher the third student.”

But the news comes as a shock to some current students who say the school has strict rules about teacher-student relationships.

“They’re not even allowed to add students on Facebook,” Johnson said.

Police worked quickly arresting Whitaker the same day the allegations surfaced.

“Any sort of allegation between teacher student we always take very seriously just like anyone else would,” Sgt. Reed said.

According to Kentucky law, even though 16 is the age of consent, if you’re a person of authority over a minor the law does not apply.  But because the allegations were supposed to have happened over the summer, her attorney asked if the special trust laws between students and teachers were still applicable.

Pedophile Tracking Victorville, CA Man Faces Nearly 4 Centuries in Prison

A Victorville man faces more than 360 years in state prison for sexually abusing his young stepdaughter for years.

A jury found him guilty Monday on 29 counts of sexually abusing a child and possessing child pornography.

“This is one of the most disturbing and devastating cases I have been involved with,” said Deputy District Attorney Kathlene DiDonato who prosecuted the case.

Luis Gilbert Sanchez, 32, was convicted of not only sexually abusing the now 15-year-old girl, but also took videos and photos of the attacks, she said. Sanchez was in Victorville Superior Court when the jury came to its decision Monday, court records show, and he could be sentenced to a total of 366 years and 8 months to life in state prison on Sept. 22.

 http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Court documents show that 27 of the 29 charges were for sexual abuse of a child. The last two charges were for child pornography.

Sanchez began sexually molesting the girl when she was only 6, according to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office and sheriff’s investigators. It continued until the girl was 8, when Sanchez was arrested in 2009.

Sanchez’s wife called San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies in late February 2009 after she came home early from work one day and found Sanchez and her daughter behaving strangely.

When the woman asked her daughter privately if anything was wrong, the girl confessed that Sanchez had been molesting her for years.

Following an investigation with the help of the Department of Children and Family Services, Sanchez was arrested March 10, 2009.

The girl took the stand last week to give her account of the abuse.

“She was just one day shy of her 14th birthday when she testified,” DiDonato said. “She is just a really, really bright girl who doesn’t let this define who she is. She is very resilient.”
