Wrongful Death Woman Arrested in Franklin County Man’s Death

Neighbors are shedding new light on the murder of a Franklin County man and a woman’s arrest in the case.

Police say Thomas Ellison was stabbed to death at his home on Deepwood Drive Friday. Across town at a home on Redbud Lane, neighbors say they saw the 66-year-old picking up a woman in his car the night before he was murdered. Neighbors say that woman is Meisha Nichols, the same woman police arrested Sunday morning charged with murdering him.

“It’s crazy. I mean you see a little bit of everything, but a murder,” said neighbor Tammy Ricketts.

Police say Nichols is an acquaintance of the man she is accused of murdering. Her next door neighbors knew Ellison.

“He’s like an old friend. He used to joke around with us all the time,” said neighbor John Clark.

But neighbors say they did not know about his connection to the 28-year-old suspect.

“That’s why it surprised me that she did that, because I’ve never seen him in the projects,” said Clark.

But neighbors say many men have been seen at Meisha Nichols’ home.

“First time I ever met her, she came and sat on my porch.and she was down there trying to pick up guys,” said Ricketts.

Ellison’s neighbors say he had a lot of money.

“I know that he helped a lot of people out here. He would loan them money. He would take them to the store,” said neighbor Frances Ringer.

Police say this is still very much an open and active investigation. They have not ruled out the possibility that there may be more suspects in this murder. Officers first arrested Meisha Nichols for tampering with evidence, but during their interview with her Sunday morning, they say she gave them enough information to charge her with the murder.

Wrongful Death Northern KY Woman Stabbed By Husband

Neighbors are shedding more light on what happened at a Northern Kentucky home where a woman was fatally stabbed and police shot and killed a man.

Terry Waltz and his mother say a crying 7-year-old girl came running up to their home just before 8 o’clock Thursday night, saying her dad was killing her mom.

Waltz, his mother and a cousin ran over to the Kenton County house and say they heard wrestling behind a locked door. They were able to break the door down, but weren’t prepared for what they saw next.

“I just heard wresting, people wrestling inside the room. I tried to get inside the bathroom. I opened it up and I saw them in there. He was just going loose on her. I couldn’t believe it. He didn’t even look back at us he just kept impaling her with the knife,” said neighbor Terry Waltz.

The group grabbed the children, ran out of the house and called police. Officers say they were forced to shoot Gustavo Ponce-Galon when he charged at them with a knife. His wife, Maribel, eventually died at the hospital.

Neighbors say the couple has two other children who were not home at the time.

State police is investigating the case to see if the shooting was justified.

Pedophile Tracking Former Plano, TX Man Sentenced to Life in Prison

A North Texas man was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after being found guilty July 30 on five counts of child sex abuse, including an incident in which he impregnated his daughter.

The charges against Danny Richard Minor, 40, of The Colony, include three counts of continuous sexual abuse of a young child and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, all first-degree felonies.

Minor lived in Plano from 2002 until 2009, when he moved to The Colony. During his time in Plano, Minor molested two related children and an unrelated child, according to a release from Collin County Assistant District Attorney Bill Dobiyanski.

One child told authorities about the abuse in 2009, but “conflicting statements prevented detectives from moving forward at that time,” the release stated.

Minor left Plano and moved to The Colony, where the abuse continued. The case was reactivated by the Plano Police Department in June 2014 when a second child came forward and provided corroborating information for the 2009 incident. Two additional cases resulted from that disclosure.

Minor was arrested July 1, 2014, and a search warrant was obtained for his DNA. A paternity test confirmed that Minor is the biological father of his daughter’s child, Dobiyanski said.

Assistant District Attorneys Sarah Preston and Shannon Miller prosecuted the case, assisted by District Attorney Investigator Stephanie Strickland. The case was investigated by Plano Detectives Chris Jones and Brian Pfahning. Judge Chris Oldner presided over the case.
