Pedophile Tracking 42 Arrested in Volusia County, FL Child Sex Sting

A Delray Beach man was among more than three dozen people busted in an sex sting operation.

Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson said 42 people were arrested in the 6-day long Operation: PredaTour.

Among those arrested was  Andrew Gangale, 46 of Delray Beach, who lives more than 200 miles away from center of the operation in Volusia County.

Sheriff Johnson says the bulk of those arrested showed up to a decoy house believed they were going to have a sexual encounter with someone they believed to be underage.

“They were telling them they were 13 and 14 years old and people were still coming over,” Sheriff Johnson said.
Those arrested include teachers, former police officers and health care workers.

“They’re supposed to be protecting our children not exploiting them,” Sheriff Johnson said.
No one answered the door Monday at Gangale’s home. He lives in what neighbors describe as a “quiet” community across from Carver Community Middle School.
“He’s the head of the Home Owner’s Association, he’s married with a wife and a couple of kids and see him around and he’s, you know, always involved with the things in the area,” neighbor Chris Patterson said.
Among the half dozen neighbors CBS12 spoke with, all describe Gangale as being friendly; nothing that would give them the idea that he would be arrested.
Operation PredaTour targeted child predators, the prostitution trade and those involved in the distribution of child pornography.

Sheriff Johnson says this is the latest reminder to parents about the importance of them being vigilant and knowing what their children do online.

Missing Person Nicole Hunter of Victorville, CA

Sheriff’s detectives are beginning their search for a 35-year-old woman who has not been seen for more than a week after she allegedly checked herself out of a crisis center using a false name.

Nicole Hunter was last seen on March 8 when San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies took her to a local crisis center on Bear Valley Road, Nicole Hunter’s husband Kenneth Hunter told the Daily Press on Monday. According to Kenneth Hunter, Nicole was “very distraught” after her grandmother’s death on March 5 and a recent miscarriage. Kenneth Hunter also said his wife is on medications for a heart condition and mental health issues.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“She had a miscarriage a month and a half ago, and then her grandmother died. She was very close to her grandmother,” her husband of eight months said. “On (March 8) she took a nap, woke up and started pacing and going crazy. I called the Sheriff’s Department and they said this was a crisis and she had to go to the crisis center. She went, and checked herself out.”

Kenneth Hunter said she checked herself out of the center later March 8 under a fake name: Christina Francis.

Walk-in center officials said that, since the center is an outpatient facility, “whatever name (the patient) gives us when they come in, is the name they leave with on our records.”

Kenneth said Nicole has left for a few days before but would always stay in contact.

“She then walked out the door and has not been seen or heard from since,” Kenneth Hunter said. “Her family and friends are at a loss; this is nothing like Nicole at all.”

Sheriff’s officials said a missing person report has been filed with the Victorville Sheriff’s Station. The case is being handed over to detectives, but there is “not much to go on,” Sheriff’s Sgt, Dave Burgess said.

Meanwhile, Kenneth said Nicole’s 18-year-old son has been “scouring” downtown Victorville for signs of Nicole, and flyers have been posted from Barstow to Phelan.

“It is like she just vanished,” Kenneth Hunter said. “There are have been multiple people out looking for her day and night … still nothing. We have checked hospitals, clinics, and police stations. She is very much loved and missed and needs to come home or the hospital as soon as possible.”

Nicole Hunter’s disappearance marks the third woman with local ties who has gone missing this month. Sahray Barber, a 22-year-old student at The Art Institute-Inland Empire in San Bernardino who graduated from Excelsior, went missing March 9. She was last seen leaving for work that morning, and her laptop and cellphone were found in bushes near her San Bernardino apartment. Search parties have also been sweeping Lucerne and Apple valleys after 29-year-old Lucerne Valley woman, Krystie Stuart, went missing March 2. None of the women have been found yet.

Anyone with information about any of the missing women is urged to contact local law enforcement officials.

Missing Person Meaghan McCallum of Oakland, NJ

A desperate search is on for a New Jersey woman who has been missing for nearly a week.

Meaghan McCallum, 30, was last seen Tuesday night at her grandmother’s Montvale home.

Her family believes she went on a date with someone she met online, CBS2 reported.

“(She’s) a wonderful, wonderful sweet person, works with the elderly,” her mother, Heidi McCallum, told 1010 WINS’ Glenn Schuck. “You meet Meaghan, you love her.”

McCallum has a long history of mental illness, and while she has previously left home for hours at a time, this is unusual, her mother said.

“It’s as if she has just dropped off the face of the planet,” Heidi McCallum said. “We are totally perplexed and totally just panicked about where she could possibly be.”

McCallum has never missed work before, but failed to show up Wednesday, relatives said. It’s also not like her to leave without her beloved dog.

“She does have bipolar. She might’ve been not herself, so we’re very, very worried,” she said. “I’m trying to find my daughter, and that’s what keeps me going. If I don’t keep doing that, I might not be in such good shape.”

Police have not been able to trace McCallum’s phone, which is off, CBS2 reported.

Her car is also missing. It’s a 1998 black four-door Subaru with New Jersey license plate N32 EAY.

Anyone with information about McCallum’s whereabouts is asked to call police in Oakland, New Jersey, at 201-337-6171.
