Not giving up. It’s been more than two months since two children went missing from their Montgomery County home after their mother claims to have dropped them off at a daycare center.

Now that mother is in jail and still not telling investigators where the children are located.

Rochelle Ritchie has more on a large scale search effort to find them.

Search volunteers in Montgomery County are hoping they’ll find missing two-year-old Jacob Hoggle and his sister, three-year-old Sarah, alive after the children went missing in September.

“It’s easy to say a prayer. It’s just as easy to come out and walk a grid,” said Carolyn Miller, volunteer.

Sarah and Jacob were last seen alive with their mother, Catherine Hoggle, who is diagnosed with a form of paranoid schizophrenia. Hoggle has taken police on a wild goose chase to find the children, with no solid leads.

She now sits in jail on kidnapping charges.

Jacob disappeared with his mother on Sept. 7 after she says she took him to get a pizza. She told police she had dropped him off at a friend’s house.

And then, on September 8, Sarah went missing. The mother told investigators she had taken both children to a trial daycare. Neither child has been seen since.

The father of the children is not giving up, and neither is the Maryland Missing Persons Network–making yet another effort to find the children.

“We’re hoping to find out where the kids are. We want them to be brought home safely,” said Raelane Turner, aunt.

With walking sticks and laser-like focus, volunteers searched through a wooded area in Montgomery County.

The effort is a haunting feeling for family members who know the anguish of having a missing child.

“My niece went missing and she was found up by Towson. It just felt like something I needed to do,” said Bonnie Miley, volunteer.

Hundreds of flyers are circulating with pictures of Jacob and Sarah throughout Maryland. Despite missing for two months, the children’s father believes they are alive.

“My older son, he’s there. But without those two, our family’s not complete,” said Troy Turner, father.

Pennsylvania children as young as 1 year old were subject to rape and BB gun shots by their mothers and a group of men, an investigation revealed.

One of the mothers performed a sexual act on the 2-year-old boy and the children were forced to watch the adults engage in sex acts with each other. In one instance, the three male defendants held down one of the mothers and forced the 2-year-old’s genitals into her mouth. The children were subject to assault including punches and slaps and were thrown over a banister and shot with the guns.

Shakia Jackson, 31; Danielle Hammond, 22; Mark Isom, 22; Daryl Carter, 24; William Wade, 23; are among those charged in the case, Philly.com reported on Friday. One child was 1 year old, who belonged to Hammond. The 2-year-old and the three other children belonged to Jackson. All five of the victims were under 12 years old.

The adults abused the five children at a home in Darby, Pennsylvania, a suburb a few miles outside of downtown Philadelphia.

Jackson reportedly told police that “she and the other adults were only playing and the children wanted to be shot.”

Jackson and Carter listed the row home as their address and the other defendants lived nearby.

The three men and two women had reportedly been under investigation by authorities since June.

They now face a number of charges including corruption of minors, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and simple assault.

A Golden Alert has been issued for a Madison County man.

State police say 83-year-old Curtis Rose has not been heard from since 11 a.m. Saturday. Rose is from Waco, KY and suffers from stages of dementia.

Rose is described as a white male, approximately 6’1″ tall and weighing 240 lbs. He has brown eyes, gray hair, and may be wearing glasses. Rose was last seen driving a Red 2011 GMC Sierra Extended Cab pickup, with a KY license plate of 101-MKF. The vehicle has damage to the right and left rear quarter panel and a diamond plated toolbox in the bed.

More than 26 pounds of marijuana worth about $20,000 was found in a statue of Jesus Friday in Cincinnati.

U.S. Customs agents announced the find. The drug-filled statue was discovered during an inspection at a DHL Express consignment facility.

An official says people are going to great lengths to move illegal drugs. “This unique seizure demonstrates the extraordinary methods individuals will utilize in their attempt to smuggle narcotics,” Cincinnati Port Director Richard L. Gillespie said.

The statue went under scrutiny after “Freddy,” a drug-sniffing dog, alerted officers there was something there. They X-rayed the figurine, drilled into it and found the marijuana.

The package came from Mexico and was heading to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

“This seizure further illustrates the vigilance of CBP (Customs and Border Patrol) officers in interdicting contraband entering the country,” Gillespie said.

More than 100 people gathered for a vigil in honor of three missing men in Salt Lake City Saturday night.

On November 3, police were called to an industrial area on the city’s west side near Redwood Road and 1500 South. Someone in the area had noticed a dog inside what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle. When officers arrived, they noticed a large amount of blood inside the SUV.

The vehicle is linked to three men who set out to spend the day together on Saturday, November 1. They are 23-year-old Braden Emerson, 34-year -old Levi Collins and 35-year-old Danny Gallegos. None of the men have been seen since.

The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating, and earlier this week they determined that blood found in the car is a match for one of the men, whom they are not publicly naming.

Police also told FOX 13 News on Saturday that they are processing more evidence from the SUV, including testing more blood samples to determine if the blood of more than one person was present.

At Saturday night’s vigil, hope that the men might still be alive was hard to come by.

“In my heart of hearts, I’m hoping he’s still alive, but the reality of it is, I don’t think so,” said Fran, who is Danny Gallegos’ mother. “So I just want to find these bodies and bring them home.”

Several people wore custom made T-shirts with a photo of Levi Collins bearing his name, and the dates 1980-2014 printed under the photo.

Some attending the vigil were strangers to one another when they arrived, but they quickly shared words, hugs and tears.

“I hope that with all the family and friends here, that strengthened the family, just to see how much their loved ones were loved,” said Pastor Sid Casillas from the Life Church of West Valley, who spoke to FOX 13 News after addressing the crowd and leading them in prayer.

Police said they are hoping for more tips from the public. They’d like to hear from anyone who saw the men after 1 p.m. on Saturday November 1.

Peoria police are searching for 30-year-old Celestino “Tino” Valencia.

Valencia was last seen on Saturday, Nov. 15 around 11:30 a.m. walking in a southeast direction from his home on the 8900 block of West Charleston Avenue.

He is described as 5-foot-8 and 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and white checkered shirt with dark pants, white shoes and a black hat.

It is believed that Valencia may be trying to walk to Guadalupe where he has family. He has wandered away from his home before and was found in medical distress due to dehydration. Valencia is on medication for mental illness and may not be able to care for himself.

On October 21st 2014, Jaylen Jones was reported as a runaway or missing person by his mother Rachael Stevens. Jaylen reportedly left his residence on October 21st some time between 12:00pm and 9:00pm. Since that time he has not communicated with family members. Jaylen does have friends in South Haven, Winfield and possibly Wichita.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services has issued a Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for  a 74-year-old man with dementia who could be in Westchester.

Richard Duroseau, a musician from East Meadow,  was last seen leaving Nassau University Medical Center on Friday.

He was last seen wearing a dark gray jacket, pressed pants, a dress shirt and a tie. He is 5-foot-6 and 140 pounds. He has numerous medical conditions and may be in need of medical attention.

Police say a man broke into the home of an elderly man and pretended to be a paramedic in order to check on him. 31-year-old Martin Gossett faces charges of alcohol intoxication and burglary.

The 77-year-old victim told police he woke-up to find Gossett standing next to him.

The victim says Gossett stole a bottle of high blood pressure medication.

Police caught up with Gossett a short time later and arrested him.

A Cincinnati, OH, man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court today to multiple charges including commercial sex trafficking, announced Acting Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta and U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky David J. Hale.

Christopher Hisle, 45, was arrested on April 8, 2014, in Louisville, Kentucky after he drove a young woman from Cincinnati to Louisville to engage in prostitution at the Red Roof Inn on Blairwood Road. A subsequent FBI investigation revealed Hisle’s involvement in forcing and compelling multiple young women to engage in commercial sex.

Hisle pleaded guilty before Senior District Court Judge John G. Heyburn II today to a four-count federal indictment including one count of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, two counts of enticing a person to travel in interstate commerce for the purpose of prostitution and one count of interstate transportation for the purpose of prostitution.

According to the plea agreement, Hisle physically assaulted several of the victims, including striking one of the victims in the face when she threatened to run away. Hisle locked the victims in his house in Cincinnati, by boarding and locking all the doors and windows. Only the front door was capable of opening, and only Hisle had the key to the front door, which locked on both sides allowing Hisle to lock the women in the house when he left. On one occasion, a young woman escaped, only to be found and brought back to the house by Hisle.

“This defendant preyed on vulnerable young victims and cruelly exploited them for his profit,” stated Acting Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta. “Our Constitution guarantees freedom from involuntary servitude and slavery to all members of our society, and we will continue to enforce our human trafficking laws to restore the rights, freedom and dignity to victims of modern-day slavery.”

“My office is committed to seeking justice for victims of human trafficking,” stated U.S. Attorney David J. Hale. “Tragically, these crimes so often pass without detection because victims live in fear from physical abuse, threats and other forms of coercion. My office has worked to improve detection and prosecution by sponsoring training for our federal and local law enforcement partners.”

“Sex Trafficking is a crime that victimizes people in a highly personal manner. Victims often feel as if they have no options and no hope. Detecting sex trafficking is essential to stopping it. The FBI works with State and Local partners to uncover this heinous crime. If you believe you are a victim of sex trafficking or may have information about a particular trafficking situation, please contact the FBI,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge Howard S. Marshall.

Hisle faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison. Sentencing has been set for February 9, 2015 in Louisville. As part of his plea agreement, Hisle will pay restitution to 12 women identified as victims of Hisle’s human trafficking crimes.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda E. Gregory of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky and Trial Attorney William Nolan of the Civil Rights Division’s Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit and is being investigated by the FBI.
