Pedophile Tracking Man Arrested in Alliance, Ohio For Trying to Buy Girl For Sex

Alliance Police arrested a Cuyahoga Falls man after he tried to purchase a 10-year-old girl for sex from an undercover police officer Saturday night.

Robert W. Thomas Jr., 36, was arrested in the 2300 block of W. State Street at about 5:15 p.m. following a week-long investigation.

An Alliance officer working with the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force responded to Thomas’s alleged online post seeking anyone willing to arrange a “marriage” of their daughter to him, police said.

Police say Thomas requested a child in the 5- to 8-year-old range, offering to pay $400 in cash for her. The man told the undercover officer that he wished to keep the child permanently at his home to engage in sexual conduct and, police say, to “train her to please him.”

After a brief conversation with cash in hand Saturday, Thomas was led to a van where he thought he would obtain the child, but instead was met by a team of officers who arrested him.

Alliance Detectives also executed a search warrant at Thomas’s Cuyahoga Falls home. They found a computer, electronic storage devices, sexual paraphernalia, videos and several firearms, such as handguns and assault rifles — including a rifle with a grenade launcher mounted on it.

Thomas is charged with trafficking in persons, attempted kidnapping, attempted rape and possessing criminal tools.

He is being held in Stark County Jail on a $2 million bond. Thomas will be arraigned in Alliance Municipal Court Monday.

Missing Person Monica Helberg’s Captor Spotted

Monica Helberg’s family says police tell them that Miles “Logan” Moncada was spotted at a hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday.

According to information provided by a hotel clerk, Moncada checked in and stayed for just over an hour. The clerk did not see Helberg, the missing teen.

Police searched the vacant room and found razors and hair dye in the hotel sink. The color is unknown at this time.

The family believes that they may be on their way to Texas where Moncada has family.

They say the Amber Alert first issued had the license plate listed incorrectly. The pair are believed to be traveling in a yellow 2014 Ford Focus with plate number ANR8440.

Helberg’s family want the public to know that she is in danger.

An Amber alert issued on Saturday was changed to an “endangered missing person advisory”. According to officials, Helberg was not reported missing until after the first 4 hours of her disappearing, which is why they changed the alert.

A message on Facebook from Moncada’s parents says they are doing the best they can to assist authorities and the Helberg family in locating the pair.

Identity Theft Atlanta Woman Sentenced

Federal prosecutors say a metro Atlanta woman has been sentenced in an identity theft scheme.

Officials say 55-year-old Cora Cadia Ford of Stone Mountain prepared fraudulent tax returns between 2007 and 2011 by using the names and social security numbers of the poor, homeless and disabled.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

Authorities say Ford convinced victims to give their personal information so she could apply on their behalf for nonexistent government grant programs. Prosecutors say some of the identity theft victims saw their social security benefits temporarily reduced or eliminated.

Officials say Ford also operated a church, and told victims that tax returns she’d file on their behalf would be “a gift from God.”

Ford has been sentenced to nine years and three months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Missing Person Monica Helberg of Royal City, WA

Police are still looking for 16-year-old Monica Helberg. She was taken Thursday from road “E” in royal city.

An Amber Alert was revised to be called a “missing person advisory.”
The difference a person has to be reported missing within four hours of being gone with clear evidence of an abduction. Officials renamed the search based on this.

Monica is 5’7″ and 140 pounds. She may be with 22-year-old Miles Moncada. He’s 6’1″ and 165 pounds. Miles, who may also go by ‘Logan,’ has brown eyes and brown hair.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

There is a restraining order against Moncada. The pair may be in a yellow 2010 Ford Focus. It’s a four-door with California plate #7AME520. They may be en route to California.

Police believe Monica was taken against her will and is missing her asthma medication.

“We’re feeling very, very afraid. We’re feeling very scared, very worried. She’s been gone now for, it’s the third day, and we don’t know where she is, we haven’t heard from her, not a call, not a text, not anything. We have no idea where she is,” said Monica’s mother Lisa Helberg.

Officials tell us there isn’t firm evidence she’s not a runaway. Another reason why the alert was switched to an advisory. If you have any information, call 911.
