Police say the men allegedly used their cellphones to capture photos of the credit cards. At least 25 victims have been identified, and Abington Deputy Chief John A. Livingood says that number is going to rise.

All of the victims used their credit cards at the Abington Post Office shortly before the unauthorized charges.

Both men were arraigned Thursday on $75,000 bond. No attorneys were listed on court papers, and the men couldn’t be reached for comment.

Pedophile Tracking Springfield, VA Man Pleads Guilty to Porn

A man has pleaded guilty to charges of production of child pornography after authorities reportedly found 600 videos showing underage boys performing sex acts.

U.S. Attorney Neil MacBride of the Eastern District of Virginia says 35-year-old Andrew Choi of Springfield, Va., pleaded guilty Friday to charges of production of child pornography.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

According to court documents and court proceedings, Choi had online video chats with at least 10 boys under the age of 18 between May 2012 and January 2013, say MacBride. In a press release, MacBride writes: “The underage boys performed sex acts on camera and Choi recorded it using a screen capture program. Approximately 600 of these types of videos were discovered on Choi’s computer.”

Choi pleaded guilty to two counts of production of child pornography.

He faces at least 15 years and up to 30 years in prison at his sentencing on January 24, 2014, according to MacBride.

Drug Dog Sweep in Louisville Finds Crack

Police say they found a substance they believe to be crack in an unusual place… A man’s buttocks.

33-year-old Deshon Compton was pulled over early Friday morning on a traffic violation.

http://liarcatchers.com/drugdogsweeps.html

A police dog was then called and the arrest report states the K-9 went right for Compton’s back side, and that is where police say they found the bag with what is believed to be crack cocaine packaged for individual sale.

Missing Person Isabel Celis is Still Missing

Many have forgotten about the 7-year-old Tucson girl that went missing in 2012, but she is still missing.

Isabel Celis turned 8-years-old in August and her parents spoke to KGUN9 news about their suspicions.

Becky and Sergio Celis, Isabel’s parents told the media that they believe that someone in their family had something to do with the disappearance of Isabel.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Sergio said there was one particular person that had access to their home and is not talking to the family’s investigator, and the person also has an attorney.  He does not believe that the person did not do the crime, but knows who did and won’t say.

Sergio says he won’t say the name because he believes it will jeopardize the chance that the person will come forward.

I believe Sergio has nothing to lose by saying who he thinks it is.  I would be telling everyone I knew that the person who had information was not talking.

Many people are posting and stating their confusion as to why this person would not come forward.

“If they haven’t done anything wrong then why in the world would they not come forward?” posted Dan.

During the video interview, Sergio gives off that vibe of a man who is “just chillin,” and hanging out and supporting his wife.  Every now and then his brow furrows in concern but otherwise he is poised and calculated with his grief.  Sergio has always been someone who thrived the limelight, and every time I have seen him in front of a camera, it seems as though he knows he is in front of a camera and is acting a part.  And in this video it is no different.  Just a concerned friend,  hanging with the family and showing his concern and support during their crisis.  It could have been a cat up a tree he was talking about.  I don’t think this necessarily makes him a suspect, but does give you insight into his personality.

I also want to bring back up Isabel’s adult cousin, Justin Mastromarino.  Could this be the family member that Sergio is talking about?

If back in 2011, when CPS was called to the family home, Mastromarino may have been living there with them at the time.   There is a photo of his Jeep parked in front of the house in June of 2011.  CPS was called again after Isabel went missing and Sergio was asked to leave the home, which he did.  Shortly, before that Mastromarino was no longer the spokesperson and not much has been heard from his since.

KGUN9 did get a response from the police department about Sergio’s thoughts on someone in the family knows something and they stated:  “At this time, I can confirm that no known Celis family members or their friends have failed to cooperate with an interview…”

Accident Reconstruction Man Killed in Pulaski County Crash

A head-on collision on Kentucky 461 in Pulaski County killed one man and injured another man Friday afternoon. Police are looking for anyone that can help them figure out exactly how it happened.

Investigators with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department are still trying to figure out what caused the driver of this car to swerve into oncoming traffic, ultimately leading to the fatal crash.

http://liarcatchers.com/accident_reconstruction.html

“You’ve got a tractor trailer headed southbound on Kentucky 461 toward East 80. There was a small passenger car headed northbound and for whatever reason that car crossed over into the path of the semi,” said Sgt. Jon Williams with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

The two collided head on before the semi veered off the road and smashed into a nearby rock wall. The Pulaski County coroner pronounced 37 year-old Josef Phillippi of Somerset dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, David Foster of Indiana, was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional for observation.

Sgt. Williams says the accident remains under investigation but they haven’t been able to locate many witnesses to the deadly crash.

“If there was any witnesses that we haven’t spoke to that saw something or observed something we’d appreciate that they call us at the sheriff’s office,” he said.

Traffic on Kentucky 461 had to be rerouted for several hours. Investigators do not believe drugs played a role in the accident and no charges are expected.

Identity Theft Former Minnesota State Employee Charged

A former Minnesota state employee is among four women charged in an alleged identity theft ring.

Ramsey County prosecutors allege the ring stole hundreds of identities.

Forty-nine-year-old Roxanne Deflorin of St. Paul, a former state worker, faces one count of identity theft and two counts of possession of a short-barreled shotgun.

According to the complaint, Deflorin obtained identities and Social Security numbers from her former employer, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, and from going through trash.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

The charges say authorities found 355 different identities during a search of Deflorin’s home in August 2012. Those identities included members of the Public Employees Retirement Association of Minnesota.

The Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/18IhstW ) reports three other women face identity theft charges.

Deflorin remained in jail Friday.

Missing Person Ryan Horn of Hillsboro, OR Still Missing

Family, friends, even strangers to Ryan Horn have been searching the rural roads in three counties looking for him.

Horn, 28, was last seen last Thursday morning by his mother, Michele Haynes. He walked out of the Hillsboro home they’ve shared since Horn’s divorce this summer.

When he left, he didn’t take his wallet. But police do believe he took a handgun.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“We’ve never stopped searching since Thursday, since he disappeared,” Haynes said. “We knew he left his ID at home, he had been very upset over some life situations and was depressed.”

Horn was wearing dark jeans and a dark grey hoodie sweatshirt.

“He said something to me as he went out the door,” Haynes said. “I didn’t hear what he said.”

But when he left, she immediately became worried. The family was putting the house up for sale, and Horn was expected that day to be the “brawn,” helping move items in the garage.

After he left the house, Horn used his cell phone to send text messages to several people, Haynes said, though she didn’t describe the nature of the conversations. That was the last time police were able to use cell towers to pinpoint Horn’s general area — about two miles outside Banks last Thursday morning.

“We know that Ryan put $20 worth of gas into his truck the night before” he left, family wrote on the Facebook page Missing PERSON-Ryan Horn. “… We have a feeling that Ryan eventually stopped at a place that is hidden, off the main roads, tucked away. Any ideas you have would be appreciated.”

The key is finding Horn’s dark red 2002 Ford Ranger with the Oregon license plate 806 FFR. Teams of volunteers have searched the area from Banks to the coast, focusing on pullouts or along tree lines where Horn may have left his car. So far, they’ve had no luck.

“There is a spider web of logging roads, rural roads, it’s almost overwhelming how many places there are out there,” Haynes said.

Hillsboro Police Department Spokesman Lt. Mike Rouches said police conducted an air search of western Washington and Columbia counties looking for the truck, without success.

Rouches stressed that Horn has no violent history and is believed to be only a danger to himself, not others.

Horn, an inspector at the Hillsboro biotech firm Genentech, is bipolar, but has been under a doctor’s care, Haynes said. She said Horn isn’t an antisocial person — he has a wide circle of friends, eats well and works out.

“He is a person who was working very hard on his health and wellness,” Haynes said. “Anyone who has ever had a person who was working through mental illness knows, … it’s not just swallowing a pill.”

But Horn was despondent and depressed recently, Haynes said. “I’m not trying to be in some kind of dream land about that.”

Horn, a target shooter, is believed to have taken his gun with him.

Haynes, who works as a fundraiser for the nonprofit Virginia Garcia, knew how to write a press release and took to sending her own announcements to media. The family has also organized its own searches, using hundreds of volunteers who report back on the roads they have driven on the search.

“It’s been absolutely amazing how many people that we don’t know and who don’t know him have written ‘these are all the roads we’ve searched on,’” Haynes said. She added, “We have been extremely impressed with the efforts of the sheriff’s departments in multiple counties and the Hillsboro police.”

Check the Missing PERSON-Ryan Horn Facebook page for further updates on volunteer-led searches.
