A Murray man who pleaded guilty but mentally ill to manslaughter in the stabbing death of his mother has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Thirty-four year old Michael Joseph Burke was sentenced Friday, in Calloway County.

Burke had been originally charged with murder in the July 2012 attack on his mother, 55-year-old Karen McClellan, at his home.
According to his plea agreement, Burke must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.
