Identity Theft Manhunt for Suspect in Harrison County, Mississippi

A manhunt continues for a man who fled from Harrison County deputies after being stopped as a suspect in identity theft on Landon Lake Boulevard off Canal Rd. in Gulfport.

According to Sheriff Melvin T. Brisolara said that around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, deputies stopped a 1987 maroon Toyota after receiving a tip that the driver may be involved in identity theft.

After speaking with the driver, he fled on foot into a nearby wooded area. A perimeter was established and other deputies were called in to assist with the manhunt.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid 60’s, with white hair, a long beard, approximately 5-9 and 150 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jean overalls and an orange shirt.

Brisolara asked that anyone seeing a subject matching this description call 911 or local law enforcement.
