State Police are looking into what could have caused a fire at a Madison County home Sunday.
They say it’s the same house in Berea where a Madison County teenager was last seen Saturday morning before she went missing.
For friends and family of Brookelyn Farthing it was a day spent waiting in the sun for answers.

It’s been more than 36 hours since the 18-year-old girl was last seen. Witnesses told Kentucky State Police the teen was last seen at a home on Dillon Court. The same house that the Madison County Fire Department came to, also on Saturday morning, for a fire.
Sgt. Harvey Baxter with the fire department says right now, they are looking into the two incidents as separate. The family of Farthing, however, believes the two are related.
Arson investigators were on the scene Saturday with arson dogs investigating.
“We’re going to enter her as missing and hopefully she’ll show up,” says Sgt. Baxter.
KSP says Brookelyn Farthing did not live at the house on Dillon Court. The person who does live in the home gave a statement to KSP. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Farthing is asked to call KSP.
