The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a dead body that was found inside a Monument home. Investigators say there was also an active meth lab in the home.
The discovery was made Nov. 13 on the 2800 block of Hunters Glen Road.
A probation officer reportedly asked the sheriff’s office for help locating a man on probation who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

When deputies entered the home, they say they found the body. An autopsy and toxicology test have been ordered, but a preliminary autopsy report showed no signs of foul play.
The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of the family. The sheriff’s office did not say if the victim was the person with the outstanding warrant.
