A Gaston County man is behind bars on a half-million-dollar bond on six counts of child sex charges.
Barry Chris Phillips, of Gastonia, is charged with three counts each of first-degree sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child.

Gaston County Police say the investigation into Phillips began in December after receiving information of alleged offenses between June 2012 and December 2013.
Police also say Phillips has previous felony convictions involving minors.
Phillips is held in the Gaston County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
