Private Detective Officials Search for Three Men in Pulaski County Home Invasion

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is looking for three men who broke into a home and stole money and several items, including two handguns in northern Pulaski County.

Deputies say they were called out to a home on Glade Fork Road in the Goochtown community of northern Pulaski County around 9:25 a.m. Monday. They say three suspects forced their way into the home armed with a knife and bat.

Once inside, the suspects fought with one of the residents, 26-year-old Daniel Lang, who pulled a handgun on the men. During the struggle with the intruders, the handgun discharged into a wall, but did not hit anyone. The suspects overpowered Lang and took the weapon from him.

The victim was also able to pull the mask off the face of one of the suspects and recognized him.

Another person in the home, 23-year-old Ashley Vanhook, ran to a neighbor’s home to ask for help. The neighbor got a shotgun and went outside to confront the suspects.

As the suspects were fleeing the home, the neighbor engaged them and the suspects pointed the stolen handgun at him. The neighbor fired in the direction of the suspects but it is not known if any of the suspects were injured.

Lang received only minor injuries in the robbery and did not require medical attention.

The suspects stole cash, jewelry, and two guns from the victim’s home. They were seen leaving the area in an older model white car, possibly a Ford Thunderbird or similar type vehicle.

The victim recognized one of the suspects as Gregory W. Scott, a 36-year-old from Crab Orchard. The other two suspects have not been identified.

Investigators are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for Gregory Scott, they said. Anyone with information about Scott’s location or the identity of the remaining suspects is asked to contact the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
