A Jessamine County man has been arrested, accused of child pornography, after an FBI agent in Colorado traced the criminal activity back to the man’s residence in Nicholasville.
Jeffery Treadway, 35, was arrested Tuesday around 2 p.m. after Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch assisting the FBI and the Attorney General’s Office executed a search warrant at Treadway’s home on Orchard Drive in Nicholasville.
Police said an FBI agent in Colorado used an account belonging to a person who had been arrested there on charges related to child sexual exploitation, to make contact with others who were possibly interested in the sexual exploitation of children. The investigation led back to Treadway.

He is charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Police said they found electronic equipment at Treadway’s home and a full forensic examination is pending. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
