Private Detective Grandmother Busted for Pill Business

Police in Montgomery County say dozens of visitors have been going to a grandmother’s house, but not for Sunday dinners.

Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies and Mt. Sterling police say Nancy Davis was the go-to grandma for pills.

“Primarily Oxycodone 30, prescription drugs, also some Zanax,” said.

Police say the Jeffersonville resident had a pretty lucrative “business” going the past year.

“Based on her own admission, we’re looking at as much as $180-200,000 worth of volume a year,” said.

And detectives say they think that’s on the low side.

Authorities say children, possibly her own grandchildren, were sometimes at the house, like the day police came knocking on her door to bust her for trafficking.

“We believe she was pretty significant. We’ve had complaints as well as the Mt. Sterling police separate from us. She was pretty big in the community,” said.

Davis is charged with trafficking first offense, but police say that will change since they later realized she was on probation for doing the same thing before.
