Private Investigator, Shots Fired in Lexington Parking Lot

Shots were fired in the parking lot of a Lexington Waffle House early Sunday morning.

Police say a man and a woman were in an argument in the parking lot of the Waffle House on Tates Creek Road. At some point, two other men became involved and then shots were fired.

Everyone involved left in two separate vehicles; one black car and one white car fled the scene.

Clifford Martin, the security guard on duty at the time, said the altercation surprised him.

“It was completely unexpected,” said Martin, “It’s Easter Sunday, like I said, it was calm here for the longest and then just all of a sudden, out of the blue, this happened.”

According to police, there was a car that was shot. They also say they may possibly have a victim, although right now it is unclear who was involved in the shooting.
