Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a man and charged him with two counts of theft.

Deputies have been working on nine thefts and burglaries in and around the Burlington area beginning June 27.

Most of the stolen items involved lawn equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, blowers and a power washer.

It turned out that Ewing had two out-of-county warrants.

While interviewing Ewing, police learned enough information to charge him with two of the nine thefts.

Officials expect additional charges when lab submissions are returned.

Ewing is charged with Flagrant non-support & an absconding Probation & Parole warrants, theft by unlawful taking (over $500), Theft of identification, and Giving officer false information.

He told police that he sold the equipment to support his heroin habit.
