A body found in the trunk of a car in northwest Harris County has been identified as a man reported missing in Fort Bend County, Houston police said.
Houston police said Everton Lloyd Hernandez was found at about noon Saturday in the 1000 block of Pinemont. Neighbors at the Dominion Square Apartments called police to complain about a foul odor coming from the vehicle, which they said had been parked in the complex for more than a week.

The officers learned the vehicle was involved in a missing person case reported to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
HPD homicide investigators notified the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and the two agencies say they are working together in the investigation.
