Wrongful Death Hot Dog Vendor Charged With Murder in Road Rage Incident Pleads Not Guilty

The hot dog vendor accused of shooting and killing a man after a road rage incident in Louisville pleaded not guilty to a murder charge Monday morning.

Donald Hayes has been indicted in connection with the shooting death of 57-year old Danny Wilson on June 21.

It happened after a road rage incident on the Watterson Expressway. Police believe the men, who were driving separate vehicles, got into an altercation and pulled into a parking lot, where Wilson was gunned down.

Hayes is scheduled to be back in court on Oct. 2.
