Private Detective, Henderson County Man Pleads Guilty to Three Bank Robberies

A Henderson County man pleaded guilty to three charges of bank robbery.

Police say Weston Neel Hurd, 40, pleaded guilty to robbing two banks in Owensboro and one in Henderson.

Officials say Hurd admitted to robbing the Ohio Valley Financial Group in Henderson County on Aug. 6, 2012, and getting away with about $2,500.

Hurd also admitted, according to officials, that on Oct. 2, 2012, in Daviess County, he robbed the Kentucky Telco Federal Credit Union in Owensboro of about $2,800.

Neel further admitted that on Dec. 28, 2012, in Daviess County, he robbed the First Security Federal Bank in Owensboro of about $1,100.

Hurd is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center. Sentencing is scheduled on Nov. 24.
