Private Detective: Police Arrest Possible Serial Robbery Suspect

Lexington Police responded to a call around 7:30 a.m. from a Burger King employee about an attempted robbery.

Employees told police that there was a man wearing a ski mask and holding what appeared to be a handgun out by the dumpsters behind the Richmond Road Burger King. That’s when they locked the doors and called police.

Demetrius Grey, 41, reportedly ran off to the nearby Patchen Place apartments where he was arrested. Police say he had the ski mask and a bb gun on him at the time of the arrest.

Grey is charged with 1st degree robbery, fleeing, and resisting arrest. Police also say there is reason to believe he may be tied to 15 other robberies stemming back to 2011.
