Private Detective: Woman Sentenced in Shooting Fueled By Facebook Feud

A Mason County woman who admitted to shooting her half-sister in the head over a Facebook feud has been sentenced to 20 years behind bars.

According to the Maysville Ledger-Independent, 30-year-old Ankara Alvarado pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-degree assault and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

She was originally charged with attempted murder.

She was indicted in October 2013 accused of allegedly shooting her half-sister, 24-year-old Arica Woodruff, in the head after the two got into an argument on Facebook.

Woodruff was flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital and later released.
