Authorities are searching for a former Johnson County teacher indicted for sex crimes.
According to the sheriff’s department, Robert Cantrell, 25, was dismissed from Johnson Central High School over the summer after an internal investigation into claims of an inappropriate relationship with a student.

After further investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and the Kentucky Attorney General’s Electronic Crimes Unit, a grand jury indicted Cantrell on two counts of using a minor in a sexual performance and unlawful transaction with a minor.
Officials say Cantrell may also faces criminal charges in Floyd County relating to the investigation.
