Private Detective: Woman Accused of Trying to Sneak Contraband Into Jail

A woman has been charged after admitting she helped two men try and sneak prohibited items into jail.

According to the Floyd County Times, police responded to a loud noise behind the Floyd County jail and saw two men running away.

They were able to catch up with 28-year-old Lacey Gillespie, who then pointed them to a vehicle full of tobacco, razors, needles and coffee.

Gillespie is charged with promoting contraband.

The men were not caught.
